Description
Meet Team Supercrew, superheroes with awesome abilities to be brave, kind, calm, and have grit, here to help kids navigate whatever big feelings come their way.
In each story, a Team Supercrew character helps a child work through a relatable moment like the first day of school, sibling frustration, fear at bedtime, or wanting to quit when something gets hard. Along the way, kids see that big feelings are something they can move through, with a little help and a lot of heart.
The series is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and was developed with input from child psychologists and therapists. Colorful illustrations and everyday moments make these stories a natural fit for read-alouds, classroom discussion, and bedtime.
Books 1–4 include:
* Benny the Brave in The First Day Jitters
* Keisha the Kind in My Little Sister Situation
* Chloe the Calm in The Bedtime Blues
* Gen the Grit in I Quit!

I loved these books. The stories were short and relatable, perfect for young kids. The stories were real situations that you could find yourself in, and even though sometimes we think the worst, it mostly turns out way better! I loved the "Want to build your super hero skills?" with the different ideas on how to improve a similar feeling or situation that the book was about. The illustrations were great.

Team Supercrew help children work through difficult emotions around relatable situations like starting a new school. The importance of accepting emotions while also working through them and building your regulatory skills is a key part of these books. The stories are easy to follow and the messages are important. However, it is quite on the nose and I struggled a bit with my 4 year old's attention.
