"This brand new adaptation, the one you’re holding in your hands, comes at the exact moment that we need it most … thanks to AnnMarie Anderson’s tender touch with the text, and Lisa Aisato’s beautiful illustrations, [this] is a book that begs to be read out loud, and viewed at the same time."

How to review a classic? My absolute favorite holiday story, I read and view all versions - and yes, I know you do too. The art is an incredible addition to the timeless text - all I can say is enjoy!

The moment I opened this book, I was struck with how utterly stunning this was! There were many things that drew me to this (& the fact that I will consume A Christmas Carol in all its endless editions and adaptations endlessly) it makes it an absolute essential and I was blown away.
I had this as an ebook but I could just imagine the feel of the pages and seeing the beautiful illustrations in such great detail was wonderful. I read this at the start of the ‘ber months and my partner was glancing at this book over my shoulder and had his beedy eyes on it. He already covets a copy and I think I too may need this as a physical copy for Christmas.
The writing is just so vivid and truly brings a Victorian Christmas to life. It’s so atmospheric and coupled with the artwork too, really makes this book such an enjoyable reading experience.
Great on all accounts and I think many will be enjoying this in December on the run up to Christmas - it’s certainly worth a read.
