Description
THE FUTURE IS A RIOT! In the footsteps of JUDGE DREDD, V FOR VENDETTA, and TANK GIRL, the first great milestone in 22nd-century science fiction is here! Written, illustrated, and hand-lettered by British comics virtuoso Joe Palmer (Time Before Time), DESTINATION KILL is powered by the thrum of a million gigawatts of nonstop visual firepower . . . as rendered by one of the most incendiary visual storytellers in comics today.
The year is 2125, and the all-powerful corporation Overcon uses its robot workers to pour our drinks and dispense our meds, all while rebuilding London’s Central City into a hyper-modern megalopolis bolted together in its own image. But as Overcon prepares to celebrate the first year of its Paradise Loop—a superfast transatlantic train that connects the Central City to New York in under 60 minutes—an unwieldy army of displaced human workers floods the streets with weapons, plotting an attack at the anniversary gala. Enter: Gina Serene, a stressed-out, pill-popping police detective in desperate need of a vacation and her ex-partner turned P.I., Lance Wingman—who are now the only thing standing between Overcon’s skyscraper-sized fist and the worker uprising that threatens to bring Britain's capital crashing down around them.
Collecting Destination Kill #1–4, this oversized, deluxe hardcover also features development art from creator Joe Palmer and a variant cover gallery including work from Riley Rossmo, Ronald Wimberly, James Harren, Dani, and more!

Destination Kill is an absolute blast of gritty, high-octane sci-fi. Joe Palmer handles writing, illustration, and lettering here, and having a single creative vision pays off massively on the page. The 2125 dystopian London setting feels sharp and timely, anchored by corporate greed, automation displacing workers, and detective Gina Serene just trying to survive the impending chaos with her ex-partner Lance.
The standout feature is Palmer’s art and visual storytelling—it’s kinetic, stylish, and packed with energy reminiscent of classic British sci-fi like Judge Dredd and Tank Girl. The pacing moves at a breakneck speed; if anything, the plot wraps up so fast that I wished for just a bit more breathing room to dive deeper into the world and supporting cast. That said, the deluxe edition extras—especially the design sketches and variant cover gallery—make this collection feel well worth the shelf space.
A fantastic, kinetic thrill ride for cyberpunk and action comic fans.
