I loved this book! It had me completely enthralled within the first few pages. It wasn't quite what I expected from the description—in fact, the story took a completely different direction than I anticipated—but that turned out to be a wonderful surprise.

The characters were so fleshed-out and real that I found myself falling in love with the good guys almost immediately. I genuinely cared about what happened to them, which made the story that much more engaging.

I'll admit that sometimes I get distracted when a story goes overboard with details and descriptions. If I feel like a paragraph is unnecessary or repetitive, my mind tends to wander, and I'll find myself skimming—sometimes only to realize I've missed something important and have to go back and reread it. That was absolutely not the case with this book. I was hanging on every word.

This was my first book by this author, and I was only introduced to her work because I had the opportunity to read this as an advance reader copy. I'm so glad I did! I was thoroughly impressed and can't wait to dive into another one of her books. Thank you, Renda Knapp, for allowing me to have an early copy of your book!

This is everything you expect from a medical thriller - hospital intrigue, realistic medical scenes, intriguing characters and a plot that grows as the story progresses. Knapp shows off her medical knowledge as well as addressing many of the difficult social issues faced by OB/Gyns during the routine care of their patients. Dr. Jewell fights to get answers about her husband’s death while trying to save a patient et and her daughter from a similar fate, all while trying yo save her career. This is a masterful debut effort from Dr. Knapp and a welcome addition to the medical thriller genre.

"Complicit " is one of the best books I have ever read. It grabs you by the throat and doesn't let you go until the last page and then you want more. If you have to put it down, you will stay up late and get up early to see what happens next. Very well written and the plot twists will keep you guessing. Well done, Renda Knapp!
