This is my absolute favorite genre, with the added rare bonus of a story that sucks you in and doesn't let you go! I really liked the storyline, the pacing was perfect, even if the characters were a tad on the predictable side. I am absolutely recommending this to everyone!
Shift Work was the 4th book in the series Carus by J. C. McKenzie. I had not read the previous 3 books and felt slightly at a disadvantage. Shifter Andy Mcneilly loses her job with the SRD (Sup Regulatory Division). She also tries to deal with her missing friends, two deaths if people she knows, get a new job and commit to a relationship even though her boyfriend has a secret life. This book is set in Vancover Canada present day. The story was entertaining and held my interest.
I enjoyed this forth book in the series. I have read all the other three and love the action and the interaction between the main characters. I enjoyed this book very much.
