This one was an utterly hilarious, deeply touching, and incredibly uplifting story that completely stole my heart! It’s such an addictively witty, life-affirming journey following three fiercely hilarious friends navigating age, love, and community, packed with laugh-out-loud humor, rich lifelong bonds, and a wonderfully heartwarming reminder that the best chapters of life are often the ones you write together!

*3 Old Gay Men* was exactly the palate cleanser I needed. My usual reads tend to be dark, crime-filled, and full of morally ambiguous characters, so spending time with Julian, Clint, and Forest was such a fun change of pace.

The premise immediately caught my attention: three gay men in their 70s living together in a Victorian house find themselves at war with the fraternity next door. What follows is witty, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt. I especially enjoyed the friendship between the three men and the way their different personalities and life experiences played off one another.

Ron Zutz created three characters I genuinely enjoyed spending time with, and honestly, I wanted even more of them. I would have loved to dig deeper into each man's history and learn more about the lives that brought them together.

The plot felt original, the writing was witty, and underneath all the fun is a story about friendship, aging, identity, and having a place where you can fully be yourself.

This was such an enjoyable read, and I genuinely think more people should be talking about it. If you're looking for something funny, queer, heartfelt, and refreshingly different, this absolutely worth checking out.

After catching the cover and reading the synopsis, I thought this would be a fun and light capery romp, and what I actually got was all that plus so much heart, and true friendship.

The writing and plotline of the story kept me engaged and I enjoyed my reading of this very much. Fun, humor, heart, friendship, and true honesty.

As a young woman I never went to a frat party, but I would have gone to Forest, Julian and Clint’s salon in a second. I’m 53 now, and I’d still drop by that soiree.

I loved this debut novella and can’t wait to read Mr. Zutz’s second book of the series. Full recommendation from me.
