What was supposed to be a fake dating situation turned into something so much deeper—real love, healing, and growth for both Vic and Kerry. Watching them slowly let their walls down and find their way to each other was honestly beautiful. 🥹

And listen… Syd & Ari?! I absolutely adored them! Give me more of them immediately. 😂❤️

The slow burn was SLOW burning, but the payoff? WORTH IT. I ate this one up! 📚💕

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC to review this book. This was a 5 star read from me. It had me on an emotional roller-coaster of love and finding peace through grief. I loved Kerry's strength had she fought to find herself again. I loved how she loved Vic's daughters as her own. I loved Vic and how he loved his family and eventually Kerry too.

This was my first book by Lauren Lacey, and it definitely won’t be my last. Love Syllabus gave me everything I enjoy in a romance — second chance romance, fake dating, close proximity, and a slow burn that kept me fully invested in Kerry and Vic’s journey. Their chemistry was undeniable from the start, and I loved the constant push and pull between them as they tried to fight their feelings. Kerry was such a strong character, especially after everything she endured in her first marriage, though she didn’t always recognize that strength in herself. Vic was equally easy to love, and I enjoyed watching Kerry help him heal and open himself up to love again after losing his first wife. Together, they balanced each other perfectly and truly brought out the best in one another.
I also loved the warmth surrounding the story. The kids were adorable, and the supportive friends and family added so much heart to Kerry and Vic’s journey. I appreciated how the author handled two characters with such heavy emotional baggage while still making the story feel hopeful, comforting, and full of love. Kerry and Vic absolutely deserved their happily ever after, and watching them get there was such a satisfying read.

I really enjoyed this book. Both the FMC and MMC had something traumatic happen to them in the past. The FMC had a more positive outlook even though her ex did everything in his power to destroy her and make her life miserable. Guilt cause the kept the MMC stick and he almost missed out on a second chance at love.

This story follows Kerry Kind, a recently divorced former teacher whose world was turned upside down by her ex-husband, the superintendent of schools in their small town, and his father, the police chief. Kerry is trying to rebuild her life after everything she's experienced, but love may have other plans for her.

Enter Victor Grimes, a famous chef who tends to see the world through a pretty grim lens because of the trauma he's experienced in his past. The two meet at a community event, and the chemistry is almost immediate! What neither of them realizes at the time is that Kerry has been hired to be the nanny for Victor's two daughters.

From there, we get a romance filled with natural chemistry, effortless flirting, and some serious sexual tension! This was definitely a sexy read, and I loved how easily Kerry and Victor connected. Their attraction felt genuine, and their banter made it easy to become invested in their relationship.

I also really enjoyed the family dynamics. The Grimes family absolutely adores Kerry and welcomes her with open arms, while Kerry's family is equally accepting of Victor. However, despite having so much support around them, both Kerry and Victor are carrying significant trauma related to love and relationships. As their feelings deepen, secrets begin to surface, helping us understand why they struggle with vulnerability and allowing themselves to fully embrace love again.

What I appreciated most was how Lauren Lacy balanced the romance, family relationships, emotional baggage, and character development. There was enough tension and drama to keep me turning the pages, but the love story remained at the center of it all.

**I would highly recommend this one!** The writing was excellent, the chemistry was undeniable, and the storyline kept me invested from beginning to end. We got romance, spice, family, healing, and two people learning how to open themselves up to love again. Such a good read! ❤️

I LOVE me a good slow burn! Kerry had ALL the odds stacked against her but that woman kept pushing! Then here comes Vic carrying all that weight on his shoulders. Whewwwww y’all had me going through EVERY emotion with this one! I STILL need her ex and his whole family to come see me because ain’t no way! Her parents though…ABSOLUTE FAVORITES!

I enjoyed reading The Love Syllabus by Lauren Lacey so much! It gave me everything that I needed and wanted in a book. I loved the characters and the storyline. The cover and the Synopsis drew me in. This was such an enjoyable read.

From the very beginning, I was invested in Vic and Kerry and couldn’t wait to see how their relationship would unfold.

What I loved most was how naturally their connection developed. The chemistry was undeniable, but it was the emotional depth behind their story that really got me. Both characters were carrying past hurts, and watching them heal and learn to trust again made their romance feel even more meaningful.

Vic was easily one of my favorite parts of the book. The way he showed up for Kerry and his daughters melted my heart. Add in the fake dating trope, plenty of tension, some genuinely funny moments, and just the right amount of spice, and I was hooked.
