I LOVED this book!!! Like genuinely such a fun romance and exactly the kind of book I want to pick up when I just want to have a GOOD TIME reading. The banter, the chemistry, the tension??? SO GOOD.

The fake dating + best friend’s brother + enemies to lovers combination was literally everything, and I loved watching Oakleigh and Finn’s relationship develop. Their dynamic had me smiling so much because you can just FEEL the tension between them. And Finn??? I fear I am very much obsessed with him lol.

I also really appreciated that there was more depth to the characters than just the romance. There were real emotions, insecurities, and personal struggles woven into the story, which made me feel much more connected to them. It gave the book that extra something that made me actually care about what happened beyond just wanting them to kiss already hahaha.

The small-town setting was also SO cute and gave the book such a cozy feeling. I loved the friendships and the overall atmosphere, and it made me want to spend more time in this little world.

There were definitely a couple moments where I wanted to scream at them to COMMUNICATE lol, which is basically a requirement for me to fully enjoy a romance.

“fake dating” + “best friend’s brother” + “enemies to lovers” is truly a dangerous combination for me because I WILL eat it up every single time.

Overall, this was such a cute, fun, swoony read and I had such a good time with it. Definitely one I’d recommend if you love a romance with lots of chemistry, banter, tension, and characters you can’t help but root for.

Athena Carstairs has delivered the ultimate cozy, small town romance with a delightfully sweet grumpy sunshine dynamic. The forced proximity and baking shop backdrop create an irresistibly charming atmosphere that makes you smile from start to finish. It is a heartwarming, laugh out loud story that completely hits the sweet spot for contemporary romance fans.

This one was an absolute, heart-melting sugar rush of a romance that completely swept me off my feet! It’s such an addictively sweet, spark-flying story packed with delicious banter, mouthwatering bakery vibes, and an irresistible connection that builds up to pure swoon, delivering all the warm butterflies and utter joy that will leave you grinning from ear to ear!

I dot not know how close to OCD home this book would hit but it did and it hit hard. I have never felt more seen than I did in this book!

Finn and Oakleigh have known each other for years but fear had them enemies! One night trading barbs led to a kiss that would kick off something they never would imagine but can Finn keep his demons at bay? Can Oakleigh realize she deserves her own HEA?

This book really hits on some mental health aspects that I appreciated and that you don’t see often. Finn struggled a lot with his OCD and keeping his negative thoughts under control where Oakleigh struggles with her self esteem and showing she deserves to be happy!

These two overtime learn to communicate better but still have a ways to go and so their journey isn’t clean cuts it’s real and emotional and I enjoyed that about this story!

Okay these two hurt my heart but in a good way. From the very beginning, you could tell there were sparks between these two but man did they hide it well. The push and pull these two fought through throughout the book was really well written, Athena definitely captured their inner confliction about their situation and feelings. I absolutely loved these two characters. Finn, oh you sweet boy, I just wanted to give him a big hug and tell him everything was going to be okay! And not me getting teary eyed when Wren showed up at Oakleighs door 🥹 Overall this was an amazing book, it was definitely worth the emotional rollercoaster it people me through of me wanting them to get their head out of their butts lol

You're My Cherry Pie is the kind of romance that made me grin like an idiot one minute and clutch my chest the next.
Oakleigh and Finn have that delicious enemies-to-lovers chemistry where every argument feels suspiciously like foreplay. Their banter is sharp, funny, and packed with years of mutual irritation... which of course means they're basically doomed to fall in love. The fake dating setup is wonderfully chaotic, especially because Finn knows exactly which buttons to push, and somehow manages to be both aggravating and swoon-worthy at the same time.
What I loved most was how the story balanced humor with genuine emotional depth. Beneath all the teasing and forced-couple antics are two people dealing with vulnerability, hurt feelings, and the terrifying realization that maybe that "one mistake" kiss wasn't a mistake at all. And honestly? Any man who weaponizes cherry pie as a love language deserves at least a little attention.
The only reason this wasn't a full five stars for me is that I wanted even more of Oakleigh and Finn once they finally started being honest with themselves. Their chemistry was so entertaining that I wasn't ready to let them go.
Sweet, funny, frustrating in all the right ways, and packed with tension you could cut with a pie server, You're My Cherry Pie is a charming romance that'll leave you craving both dessert and a Finn Southwick of your own.

This unique romance book gripped me from the beginning and I had a hard time putting it down to do things!

I absolutely loved all the yearning between Oakleigh and Finley! Their story was super cute and the author did a wonderful job depicting Finley's struggles with OCD.

I didn't realize this is the second in a series of interconnected standalones, so I definitely got some spoilers from the first book. However, I definitely still want to go back and read the previous book because of how interesting and well-developed the characters are!

Overall, I highly recommend reading this book if you like the best friend's brother trope and when the MMC is a complete golden retriever!
