Loved reading thee mesmerizing and spellbinding paranormal story. When Yves, the Vampire Prince, and his son, Adrien, see a woman drowning, Yves rushes to rescue Cora, a witch. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full mystery and intrigue, and a must read riveting story. Can't wait to read the next story in the series!

I really enjoyed this dark and gothic vampire romance! Witches, vampires, forbidden attraction and plenty of secrets made this such a fun read.

Cora was a great main character. I liked the mystery surrounding her past and her bloodline, and watching her become tangled up in Yves's world kept me invested. Yves was definitely an easy character to like too — a protective vampire duke with a softer side, especially when it came to his son.

The chemistry between Cora and Yves was one of my favourite parts. Their relationship has that perfect we probably shouldn't be doing this feeling, and I enjoyed watching the tension build between them.

The gothic atmosphere also worked really well for the story, with vampires, witches, old estates and plenty of secrets. There were a few moments where I wanted more development, especially with some of the worldbuilding and secondary characters, but overall I found this an entertaining and addictive romantasy.

And that ending definitely has me wanting Book 2! 🩸🖤

There is something about a gothic vampire romance that gets me every single time, and this one had all the ingredients I was looking for. Witches, vampires, forbidden desire, mysterious bloodlines and a brooding gothic setting? Honestly, sign me up. 🩸🖤

Cora was such an intriguing FMC, particularly because there was so much surrounding her past that she didn’t fully understand herself. Watching her slowly get pulled deeper into Yves’s world kept me turning the pages because I was just as curious as she was about what was really going on.

And then there’s Yves. A vampire duke who is powerful, protective and suitably dangerous, but also has a surprisingly softer side? Yes, please. I especially loved seeing that side of him when it came to his son. It added a really lovely dimension to a character who could otherwise have easily fallen into the typical brooding vampire mould.

The romance was definitely a highlight for me. Cora and Yves have that delicious forbidden tension where you KNOW they probably shouldn’t be getting involved, which obviously makes you want them to get involved even more. 😂 The chemistry builds beautifully, and I was fully invested in seeing where their relationship would go.

I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. Ancient estates, supernatural secrets, witches and vampires all wrapped up in a dark, gothic setting made this incredibly easy to get lost in. It has that perfect spooky-season feeling without losing the romance at the heart of the story.

There were a few areas where I would have loved a little more depth, particularly when it came to some of the worldbuilding and secondary characters, but it didn’t stop me from thoroughly enjoying the story.

And THAT ending?! Absolutely not. 😂 Now I need Book 2 because I have questions and I need answers.

Let me start by saying that this author became an auto-read author for me after this book. This book was a quick read and the ending cliffhanger left me shocked - I expected a cliffhanger since this is a duology and I thought I knew where this was going, only to be completely wrong. The main characters in this book are all lovable and the character development is done so well. I can’t wait for the next book!

Thank you to the author for my advanced copy. I loved how different this was to the first Duology, specifically how different the characters were. Cora’s black cat energy with Yves’ undercover freak energy was really fun to read. While the plot didn’t capture my attention as much as the romance did, I still enjoyed it a lot and Ainsley always writes great spice, tension, and romance. The cliffhanger was crazy and I’m looking forward to the conclusion of Yves and Cora’s story.

Tempted by the Vampire Prince is the first book in the second duology of The Sanguiverse, a series of interconnected duologies set in a world where vampires rule over the fragile peace between rival witch factions.

I liked Cora pretty quickly. She’s fiery, determined, and stubborn, but she also has a lot that she’s dealing with beneath the surface. I also really liked her white raven familiar, Della. Her personality and interactions with Cora were a nice addition to the story.

Yves is a widowed vampire prince and single father who has spent the last few years grieving his mate while raising his son, Adrien. One thing I liked about his character was how his grief was handled. It doesn’t disappear when Cora comes into his life. Instead, he’s still dealing with that loss while slowly realizing that he can have feelings for someone again.

The relationship between Cora and Yves develops gradually throughout the book. There’s a lot of tension and yearning between them, especially because neither of them is really in a position where getting involved with the other is simple. I also liked the dual POV because we get to see how they’re both feeling and how their feelings toward each other change.

I also liked that the romance wasn’t the only focus. While Cora is in Valemer, she starts learning more about her family and her past. Some of those discoveries raise more questions and set up parts of the story that will likely continue into the next book.

The ending leaves quite a few things unresolved, particularly when it comes to Cora and what she learns about her past. I’m interested to see how those revelations affect her relationship with Yves and where their story goes from here.

Vampire prince? Obviously I was going to read it! Fun, romantic, and exactly the kind of escape I wanted.
