This runaway clockbuster is unlike anything you have read before. Ronnie is a young article-writer living a comfortable life, his athletic abilities being the Times crossword and his local darts team, until a stranger claiming to be a Magician tells him he has been cursed. True Magicians are nonexistent so he assumes that the stranger was quietly insane, but the next day, and every day thereafter, his world begins to change either personally or globally, and nobody else thinks the changes strange.

Ongoing delusion leads to full-blown insanity, but if his perception is correct then he is the unwitting centre of a diabolical plot; and somebody is out to eliminate him. He must learn to get fit and start running.
