To-Do Him List

A heartrending and masterfully written book with turbulent ups and downs that had me undeniably hooked throughout the entire thing. It is definitely a 3 hanky read you will fall for the guys of the band and I hope to read more about them.

I loved this story! Izzy is an independent good girl, who decides to take life on her own terms when she is diagnosed with a brain tumor that is operable but with minimal chances of survival. The plot involving a bucket list could easily become depressing, but it does not. Ms. Marie's character development and the characters (including supporting ones) obvious concern and care for one another make this a fun novel.

Cole may be one of my favorite heroes ever, and his actions in demonstrating his care and love for the people around him was charming.

The only thing that I did not like about the book was that it had to end.

After being told that she has a brain tumor and that surgery might not leave her the same person, Isabelle makes a bucketlist of wild things to do, before submitting to her fate, and in doing so finds the love of her life in rockstar Cole. I loved this book and look forward to reading more by Denise Marie.

To Do Him List by Denise Marie is book 1 in The Lipstick Diaries and the first book I’ve read by this author. While this book was ok, I’m not sure I’ll be putting this author on my automatic buy list anytime soon.

I found the writing style to be clunky at times and often couldn’t descifer which dialog belonged to who which got frustrating. Reading this, be prepared for a lot of unnecessary adjectives to describe basic movements, instead of simpy walked, moved, etc there would be words like, sprawl, ambled, scurried, sauntered, etc it got quite ridiculous. In addition to the writing style, which distracted from the enjoyment of the story there were little things that got to me like when Isabela “Izzy” was being introduced to the band mates, they all said their first and last names in addition to their position in the band, and it just didn’t feel natural to me.

Cole and Izzy also both had the same nervous ticks and quirks which I think the author included to give the protagonists something to bond and relate over, made them seem like insecure bumbling idiots to me and more like brother and sister. I really struggled to like this book and would have prefered a different ending than the typical HEA just because I didn’t really like Izzy or her friends all that much to look into the rest of the series.

Hot! Live life to the fullest - time is so precious!

This read was an emotional one. The journey was so worth it! Izzy has had a rough time of it. Cole seems hot and very naughty. There is nothing wrong with that! A bucket list seems like the right thing to do. Cole and Izzy embark on a journey that will leave you needing tissues. So worth the read and tears! I really would have liked a prologue. The abrupt end was disappointing. Just a little more or a tease of the direction of the next book!

When i first started this book i wasn't sure if i was going to enjoy it or even if i wanted to keep reading it, but i'm so glad i stuck with it. Isabelle's story was completely heartbreaking at times but i loved her attitude and the journey she took was a complete rollercoaster of emotions. Cole was really sweet yet had that protective alpha side which i loved too. When Isabelle makes a bucket list it brings her in the path of Cole and his band. What was so good about it is that i connected with all the characters, even the supporting ones and i really really want to read their stories next. Great read, heartbreaking in places and a complete rollercoaster. I would have like more of a insight into their future in the epilogue but hopefully they'll be shown in other books in this series.

This was wonderful! The author created characters I liked with a real-life problem, with one exception. The single event that breaks up the couple (because every romance has one) was pretty weak. But this codes feature an HEA. I hope that there are more books Featuring the rest of the friends getting together. I loved his and hers!

I've read a lot of rock star romances, but none as sweet as this book. The guys are truly like brothers, the girls like sisters. No going behind someone's back or anything petty like that. Beware, because of the circumstances of Isabelle's illness, you'll probably need a Kleenex or two.

What a great read..... this is romance done right. Izzy & Cole are interesting individuals & together are combustible. Izzy is trying to finish a bucket list before potential life ending surgery & Cole & his band made up of awesome men are more than ready to help her fulfill all the items on the list.

I did have a bit of an issue with the writing style, the author almost wrote like she was talking & there was not a lot of editing.

All in all a fun read & I look forward to more by this author. I hope she writes about the other men in the band or Izzy's group of best girlfriends.

I was grateful to obtain a free copy of this book in exchange be for an honest review. The plot with Izzy being terminally ill and completing her bucket list was a new twist. I absolutely adored Cole, and thought he was a true romantic.

There were some hardships for me. There were several times during the book that I had a hard time distinguishing between Cole, Drew, and the other band members. I had to reread several parts to figure out which character was being discussed. I also really wanted to see more deviation from the bucket list. There was a bus load of hot band guys willing and able to make the bucket list a lot more interesting, but that was never introduced. What a lost opportunity by the author. The ending was also pretty predictable, but that's Ok. In the end, I am glad Izzy and Cole got their happily ever after.

Overall, this was a quick easy read, and I would recommend the book to others.

What a great rocker love story. Lizzy was so brave to face in illness in such a way to release her sexual freedom. Cole was perfect to help with her bucket list. Cole love Lizzy from the first and held on and and never let go when the going got rough. This book was perfect as written , would not change a thing.

I don't even know what to say about this book. It had me hooked from the beginning. Isabelle is facing a surgery for which she might not survive or be the same. Before she has it done, though, she wants to make a bucket list of things that she has always wanted to do and didn't get to with her husband before he passed. A lot of this list has to do with sexual things, but her friends have her put an abridged list up on her Twitter. Here is where Cole, lead singer for the band Scandals, sees the list. Cole has noticed her before, but hasn't gotten her to respond to anything. This might be his chance because one of her wishes is to tour with a band. He extends the invite and she accepts. By the end of the first couple days, he and his band are in love with her. But they agree no hearts involved with the unknown looming over her head. But as we know, hearts don't always listen to when they are allowed to get involved. Luckily for Cole, he is willing to do whatever it takes to make Izzy see he loves her, she just doesn't know it yet. I was given an ARC of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the debut book by a new author, but to read it, you would never know it. Sometimes a book comes along that puuls at your heartstrings and this book does exactly that.

This book is filled with laughter, fun, very hot alpha sex, and some tears along the way. I couldn't put this book down, it was just simply that great. You just have to pick up a copy.and to the author, please continue this series, it's just THAT incredible!

I give To Do Her List a Shooting Star- The equivalent of a 6 Star Orgasm!

In a very short time Izzy and Cole develop feelings for each other and have to face reality. For Izzy, it’s not getting to close and leaving another person behind to mourn her and for Cole it’s accepting that this buck list was created for a reason. Not only does Izzy capture Cole’s heart but she captures the hearts of his bandmates as well and they are all having a hard time accepting what this list means. Okay, so, I don’t typically go for books with terminal illnesses. Not my cup of tea, my happy ever after has to include everyone having a heartbeat at the end of the story, but I took a chance on this book. This is a quick read, and it’s a fast moving story. The bulk of it takes place in the span of five to seven days; which typically I’m not a fan of but in this case it worked. The only thing I struggled with was at times being confused as to who was saying or doing what. I don’t particularly care for stories told in the first person but for this book I think it would have flowed better. This is book one in the Lipstick Diaries and there are a host of other characters in this book that I wouldn’t mind reading about. I would recommend this as a beach read.

I loved this book it is funny and I loved the characters within this book I also loved the premise of this story

If there was a ranking more than 5 stars I would choose it. I cannot put into words how much I LOVED this book. It is by far one of the BEST books I have EVER read (and I have read a lot of books). I was speechless when I finished this book. It ranks up there with some of the best books that I have ever read, from authors like Nora Roberts, Robyn Carr, Tawdra Kandle, and Katy Regency.

I instantly fell in love with Cole. I was not expecting to love him so much. Izzy was amazingly written. She is every bit the strong heroine that you want to see in a book. I so wanted to skip to the end just to see what happened because I wasn't sure I could handle the ending. I won't tell you what happens but I am glad that I didn't cheat and look. Cole and Izzy's story is amazing and I can't wait for everyone else to read it! I am so looking forward to seeing if the other band members get their love story!

Hmmm. This book felt longer than it needed to be. It was great to see Cole helping Izzy with her list, but it just kept going and going and going. After a while I just wanted her to have the surgery so that the plot could move forward. That said, there were some very touching moments and the rest of the band had me cracking up. All in all, a decent book with enough steam to fog up my e-reader and a lot of heart...it was just a bit too long for what it was.

I loved this book! Izzy was a very likable characters. I thought this was a really well developed story and I really liked the large supporting cast of characters. Now whether or not all the band mates and all of Izzy's friends end up together in future books I would love to see each one of their HEA. I will keep an eye out for more books by this author.

To Do Him List is the first book I have heard of or read by Denise Marie. The blurb immediately caught my attention and I knew that this would be a story I needed to read.

From the first page I was drawn in as Isabelle and her story are described. Then on to Cole and his reaction to her on twitter. The characters are relatable and honestly one of my favorite couples I have read in a while. I fell in love with the story and prepared to have my heart ripped out. Thankfully Denise was kind enough not to kill me with the ending.

My only complaint is that there was no epilogue. I want to know what happens next! I am hoping a book will be written about Drew next and maybe he hooks up with one of her friends. Denise Marie wrote and epic novel and I cannot wait to see what else she puts out! 5 Stars from me!

The story line is great. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. The writing is good. It's told in multiple POVs. Sometimes it's a bit confusing, but it all smooths out in the end. This book can be read as a standalone.

WOW...what a book! There were times throughout the book that I laughed with the characters and other times when tears were brought to my eyes. Although the end was fairly predictable, I loved reading the journey it took to get there. I was surprised and pleased at the active roll that all the characters had. It wasn't a story just about Cole and Izzy; it was about their friends and family as well.

I'm hoping the next book is about Drew because I feel he has so much that still needs to be told.

And then believing she was pregnant only to find out she has a brain tumor. It not cancer but the surgery she needs to remove it will most likely kill her. So after some thought and time with her 3 best friends she decides she needs a Bucket List just in case she doesnt make it. She post it on her twitter account well the clean version anyway. Cole Davis is a rock star who board and always gets a smile from the beautiful Izzy twitter post, so when he see her bucket list expecially #10 go on tour with a band, he wants to help her. But neither expected or wanted to fall for the other. I loved Izzy hopes and goals even though she thought she wasnt making it, and Cole was perfect for her giving her the bucket list items expecially the dirty ones. This book was beautiful, tragic,heart breaking, hott, funny and most important sweet. I cant wait for the next book for our ladies and guys to find there one! Im a definite fan for life of Denise Marie!

Cole and the band help her check off the items on her bucket list. This book is a funny, sad and sexy read.

Really enjoyed it. I was worried at the start of this book that it was more for young adults but i didn't find that at all and i got swept up in the story.
This book has you laughing, crying and swooning all in one, I was hooked from the first page and couldn't help wanting the best for these characters. I am so glad that even though the male in this book was a rock star, the author didn't write his behavior as a typical rock star, i have read other books similar and got so fed up with them as they were all the same but this one is refreshingly different, not only in the male characters behavior but also with the story of the female doing a bucket list before major surgery. You will laugh, cry and get hot under the collar, I really did enjoy it. Thank you to the Author, publishers and Netgalley for allowing me to have an ARC for me to review.

To-Do Him List is such a phenomenal read! This is one that will definitely change your life since it deals with some series health issues. It made me realize that life is simply too short to walk around on egg shells and not fully do things before I can't. Loved the writing -- it was fantastic.

Isabelle Chambers has just finished grieving the lost of her husband when she goes to the doctor to find out some life changing news. The doctors tell her that her chance with surgery is slim. She decides to step out of her comfort zone and really enjoy her life. She makes a bucket list not realizing that it would take her to the man of her dreams. Isabelle is a sweet woman. Even though she is dealing with the news of her life, dealing with pain and headaches every now and then she still manages to be lighthearted about it and enjoy life. She's funny, wild and uninhibited. I loved it!

Cole Davies is apart of the band Scandal and he hasn't had a real connection with a woman for a long time. It's not until he sees Isabelle's bucket list that he decides he needs to open his mind to new things. He knew she was going to be fun, but he didn't expect her to be the one. Cole was an amazing man. He may have had the rock star appearance with tattoos and piercings to match, but he was truly a loving, sweet man. He catered to Isabelle's every need and always tried to make things fun and good for her. He pushed his desires to the side to ensure that she felt safe and cared for. Cole never held back and I loved that about him.

The romance was beautiful. I love how they met through twitter because it's so realistic to how a lot of people nowadays meet. They were both nervous around each other constantly, but they both felt the pull. They tried to deny themselves, but eventually failed. The way they blossomed was amazing. Especially with that ending -- perfect!

The girls: Katherine, Abigail and Taryn are true friends. They were there for Isabelle from start to finish. They made sure she got to experience life before she went to get surgery. They loved her and didn't treat as fragile no matter what the doctor said. Her mother Carol included. Just amazing.

The other guys from the band were awesome as well. I loved how forward Drew was and how open Zander was. Not much from Brett, but he like the others were cool. I loved Derek, the driver, as well. They all took a real interest in Isabelle as a person and made her feel comfortable and loved. Amazing!

I highly recommend this book. It's an awesome read! I need a sequel with Isabelle and Cole asap!

Although I like the premise of this book, at times, I found it difficult to follow ... I couldn't tell what dialogue belonged to which character. Cole and Isabelle have obvious chemistry right from the start. Cole is thinking long term, but because of her brain tumour, Izzy can only think very short term. I found Drew interesting and can see the potential for another book with him as the main character. When the girls first met the guys, I found it too sappy, while the rest of the book is more care free.

Found this book a bit it hard to get into the story, which was ok and had alright characters but will try again in the future with this author. Thanks for letting me try your book.

Loved this book. The connection between the characters really helped the reader relate to them and the steamy scenes could melt the page. I would recommend this book to a friend.
