Once Upon A Dom

Description
Jessica Lowe is bored with the endless round of parties her life has
become. When she’s invited to Pleasure Manor to attend a coveted Fairy
Tale role-play event, she’s ecstatic, even if the Dom sponsoring her is
an old high school classmate. But he’s not the nerd he once was, and she
can’t help but ache for the bossy, domineering man he’s become.
Jasen remembers Jessica as the spoiled little rich girl who used her status and beauty to get what she wanted. From what he’s seen and heard lately, not much has changed. She has a reputation topping the Doms in his BDSM club. But he plans to tame this sub once and for all. For three days, she’ll be his Rapunzel.
But to Jasen’s surprise, there is much more to Jessica than the pampered princess who demanded he do her homework, and he’s just the man to help her discover exactly who she is.

I got this book from net gallery for an honest review. Jasen has been invited to Pleasure Manor and he wants Jessica as his sub. He knew Jessica from high school - he remembered her being a rich spoilt brat. Jessica is checking out the Doms in the club when she notices Jasen. She forces herself to look twice just to make sure it's him: he's definitely changed. Will Jessica accept the offer to be Jasen's sub for the weekend? I've read one other book in this series and enjoyed it. However, I found the characters just didn't do it for me in this book. I couldn't connect with Jessica; she irritated me. This book focused on Jessica finding herself with Jasen's help. This was a short, erotic read but nothing really stood out and I found my attention drifting. Although this book wasn't for me, I'm sure many would enjoy it, so don't be put off, give it a try! |

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Jessica and Jasen know each other from high school where they constantly butted heads. Jessica is the rich heiress and Jasen was raised in foster homes. They come from completely different lives but ultimately end up living the same lifestyle. Jasen extends an invite to Jessica to join him at Pleasure Manor for a long weekend. The two discover things about themselves that they did not expect. This book is sizzling hot. The sex scenes were by far some of the hottest I have read in a long time. I loved Jasen and how caring he was with Jessica as well as his charity. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was a great short read. |

I very much enjoyed this book. It wasn't my favorite of the series, but the sex scenes were hot and it had the added angle of the Dom knowing the sub before the "event." I do have to say, though, I think the author did too good of a job of describing what an awful person Jessica was in high school. I wasn't impressed with her character at all. And I know, I know, she was the "poor little rich girl" but I had a hard time liking her as a result. With that said, I was happy that both she and Jasen got their HEA in the end. A very satisfying story that I will definitely read again! |

I was generously provided an arc in exchange for a honest review from Netgalley. I love the Kingdom of Dom series. And while I was over the moon for this book it was still good. Jasen is a dom that owns half a bdsm club . Hebeen invited to the Pleasure Manor for there fariytale event by mistress and decides to take Jessica as his sub. She and him knew each other as teenager. She believes him a nerd he thinks she a rude spoiled princess there both right and wrong. I loved the chemistry betweenJasen and Jessica and how there was more than just kinky sex involved but I didnt like the other partners involved, since all the other books have been safe I thought this one would be too. While I understand that this comeswith the BDSM territory and many like it, it just not my thing so prepare yourself for some female/female stuff. But otherwise still an enjoyable book. I cant wait for Wendy's book! Goodreads Review. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1695376032 |

This book was very confusing for me to review. My problem was that the story started as erotica, and as erotica it was really intense and nice! But somewhere on the way it became an erotic romance but without the depth of the characters. I believe that if the author had kept the erotica style until the end it would have been a fantastically hot story! Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as stand-alone. There were no spoilers or missing information from the previous books. The writing was ok and there were no twists in the plot. The characters were interesting but they felt superficial to me. The end of the book was nice but it felt without the fire that the beginning of the book had. Having all these said, I will still try to read something of Ms. St. Claire as I am curious for her stories. |

OH MY GOD!! HOT! HOT! HOT! This is an amazing story. I have read quite a few erotic novels/novella's and this one is at the top. The characters were realistic, the atmosphere of the "Palace" and the club were believable and amazing.. I wanted to be there with Jasen and Jessica.. I wanted to be Jessica.. Great book and now I must find the other books by Sydney St Claire.. |

Title: The Dom Tames Rapunzel Series: Once Upon a Dom (#5) Author: Sydney St Claire From: Netgalley Genre: Erotica, Romance, BDSM Release Date: 24th June 2016 Challenges: 2016 Netgalley & Edelweiss Challenge, 2016 New Release Challenge, Summer COYER 2016 Links: Goodreads - Amazon Synopsis (from Goodreads): Jessica Lowe is bored with the endless round of parties her life has become. When she’s invited to Pleasure Manor to attend a coveted Fairy Tale role-play event, she’s ecstatic, even if the Dom sponsoring her is an old high school classmate. But he’s not the nerd he once was, and she can’t help but ache for the bossy, domineering man he’s become. But to Jasen’s surprise, there is much more to Jessica than the pampered princess who demanded he do her homework, and he’s just the man to help her discover exactly who she is. So reasons I figured I'd start with reasons why I picked up this book. Firstly I have a complete weakness for fairy tale retellings (might have given that one away with the fact I wrote one!) Secondly I enjoy reading books with BDSM elements, probably because its something I won't experience in the "real world". In the past I've read some terrible books combining the two of them, but I gave this one a go and I'm glad I did because I really enjoyed it. While the events of the book are mostly set at a BDSM event, the BDSM itself wasn't overly hardcore (think spankings and a bit of voyeurism rather than anything extreme) and it certainly made for some great sex scenes between Jasen and Jessica. The two of them had great chemistry and that showed on the page. Jessica and Jasen had a past before the book, but that allowed them to grow as a couple. The past made things a little more complicated feelings wise, but that complexity helped make their characters that bit more believable. The author also allowed the two of them time to talk to each other (and not about sex) which made them normal. The parallels between this story and Rapunzel were definitely there, without the darker aspects of the story, and the HEA tied everything up perfectly. This was a good read! |

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. Great erotic read! It had heart, but enough steam to fog up my e-reader. I was intrigued by what was going to happen with the two of them, but let's be honest, a high school crush usually ends up the very best. I also appreciated how St. Claire moved time forward so that we understood the relationship continued, but that it didn't seem like Jasen and Jessica were moving too fast. I only wish I had read the other books....Going to have to back track. |

I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review. I liked the book but felt that it lost some of its steam. It started out with the BDSM element and it had potential to have been really great, but as it progressed it became more of an erotic romance toward the end. Don't get me wrong, the BDSM elements were scorching hot and the erotic romance was both hot and sweet as well. I just would have liked it to have been either one or the other. That said I did enjoy the book and I would recommend it to a friend to read. I would like to read more of St. Claire's works. |

I truly enjoyed reading this book. I thought it was a very hot and sexy read and I loved the details of the BDSM which was surprising in such a short book. I'm excited to read more from the author and I can't wait to go back and read the previous four books of this series. This is my first time reading a book by Sydney St. Claire and she is definitely going on my list of authors to to read. I only gave it 4 stars because I really, really didn't want the story to end. It would be nice to see Ms. St. Claire continue the story past the initial romance of falling in love and keep going through the trials of everyday living like one of my all time favorite authors Kristen Ashley does with her characters. I can't wait to keep reading more books by Ms. St. Clare and she how she continues to grow as an author. |
