“A great book for a toddler that is interested in planes or about to go on their first flight.” - The Overly Attached Reader
The pilot flies the airplane, along with his co-pilot. He has to make sure the passengers arrive safely. That’s why he has to keep an eye on things like the altitude and the plane’s speed during the flight. The airport control towers that he passes over tell him how and where he has to take off, fly and land.
An instructive, engaging picture book for children about airline pilots. For children ages 4 and up.
What do you want to be when you grow up?

There are so many wonderful careers to choose from!
With clear language and cheerful drawings, this series presents many of the most popular professions. Each book is packed with fun facts, new words, and interesting stories of real professionals.

This book does a great job of teaching your toddler what a pilot does. You will have opportunity to interact with your child as well as some elements mentioned in the book will need to be explained further. It also encourages children to imagine what they might want to be when they grow up. This book also features lovely, colorful artwork that is great for toddlers.
A cute little book that introduces toddlers to the wonder of air travel! It explains all aspects of a pilot's job, from preparing the plane for passengers to what happens after landing. It also talks about the fun parts, like spectacular views and being able to see so many new places! This would be a great book for a toddler that is interested in planes or about to go on their first flight.
I received this book through Netgalley for an honest review.
This is another great read by author Liesbet Slegers. This title is about airplanes and all that involve them. The book talks about pilots, travelers and destinations. While this book is a picture book, it could also be used for learning about flying for young kids.
This is a fantastic little book. The images are bright and colourful, its easy to follow and I can see it becoming a very firm favourite and definitely one to get and keep on our shelf.
Airplanes are always a source of fascination for kids. There are so many things to ask about them! While telling about what pilots do, this book also guides the reader inside a plane, and instructs about how it flies. From what a pilot wears to a nice and safe landing, we meet the flight attendants and the cockpit; we read about the control tower and the runaway; we checked the fuel, wind, height and speed; we knew about seat belts, snacks and drinks; we learn about wheels and wings; and of course we enjoyed beautiful sights from above.
The illustrations are simple and colorful. The page layout reminds me a books I used to read when I was a toddler, with a full picture on the right side, and a white page with the text and a small picture of a detail on the left. It is interesting. It encourage questions. It makes you feel like you learn something new and amazing. The author also plays with the idea of many kids dreaming about being pilots when they grow up. In summary, a very good non fiction picture book for little kids on a attractive topic.
What an adorable book for little ones! I think this would be a great book to buy for your child before a trip, With all of the questions that little ones have, this book would be perfect. With its bright colors and great information, it is a win win for both parents and their children.
