The Ghost Cop

Its an ok read not great but not terrible its worth a read

I really enjoyed this book,I would definitely recommend this book to my friends.

This is a bright new voice, with a fresh idea and an intriguing storyline! Not to mention its set in Baltimore, so what's NOT to like?

This book follows on from Damon Norko's first book The Ghost Writer, in a related story set in the same fantasy landscape. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ghost Writer for it's novel ideas and emotive content. The Ghost Cop is also a compelling read and I became quite attached to the main character a cop brought back as a ghost to serve the sinister company. His interactions with his son and wife, and his growing realisation that the company is only interested in controlling everyone and everything make for a good story. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book though and I was left unsatisfied by the open ending.

This is the story of a corporation that has managed to gain control of the ghosts in the world, letting them survive in the physical world. One ghost is former cop Thad Stringer who was taken by the corporation and became a Ghost Cop, just so his family are well protected and can live normally. Thad gets a case of missing ghosts, and discovers they have gone on the ghost wind, one such ghost was seen by Thad's son, a special needs boy, who has drawn a hieroglyphic on a statue in the museum he was visiting with his class. This gets Thad put on the case to find who has done this and why the ghosts are going missing.

Although this was more a science fiction book, I enjoyed the way the story went, with Thad trying to see his Son who asks him to go to Pluto.

Great Read by Damon Norko, can wait for the next installment.

This was a good read.  Little slow but I managed to read it.  Just took my time. 4*. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book from netgalley
