Despite the efforts made my Tobias, Sebastian, and Maya Helms to keep the humans from being fearful of the demons, there were still hunters out there. Somehow, they found them again.

While they undoubtedly would have won were they to stay and stand their ground, those they swore to protect could have been hurt or killed. Not to mention, there would have been an unnecessary loss of human life, even if they were hunters.

Maya was determined that one day they would be able to live amongst the humans. That was why she had created The Council. The function of this elite group was create laws that the supernatural world had to abide, in order to ensure a more cohesive living arrangement. Unfortunately, not all demons and monsters liked to live by the rules.

Now it seemed like it was time to pack up and be on the run once more.

But there's something different about this time. Not all the facts are adding up.
