The University of Nevada Press was established in 1961 and continues to produce books for scholarly and general audiences that preserve, study, and celebrate the history and culture of the American West. In addition to regional works, we publish books of global significance in fields such as environmental studies, Basque studies, mining, gaming, and urbanization. The Press also publishes select fiction and memoir.
