Sixteen Rivers Press is a shared-work, nonprofit poetry collective dedicated to providing an alternative publishing avenue for poets of Northern California. Founded in 1999 by seven writers, the press is named for the sixteen rivers that flow into the San Francisco Bay. We have published 48 individual books by our authors, as well as two anthologies of poets from around the world. Sixteen Rivers also hosts a bimonthly reading series, Sixteen Rivers Presents. We accept two new members each year through manuscript submission November-January.
