Ms. Ivanans won the Allegra Johnson Award in Memoir Writing for In Pillness and in Health: A Memoir (UCLA Writers' Extension) (2015). Her published work includes: Alcohol May Intensify Effect (Barrelhouse) (2019), The Road to Self-Publishing (OC Register) (2021), Dear Corona Virus (Politiken) (2020), My Soul Mate is a Kidney-Transplanted Woman Half My Age (2019) (rsnhope.org) and Here’s a Tip! How We Kept Love in a Marriage of Illness (2021). (rsnhope.org) and appears in The Fix (2021). Pillness has been acquired by Next Door Publishers and translated into Spanish. It will be available in Spain and parts of Latin America in 2022. Pillness is her first book. She is currently working on the sequel: Big G and Me: In Pillness and in Health II. Ms. Ivanans is a two-time kidney-transplanted, sober woman and occasional actress. She lives with her husband, Kevin in Winnipeg, Canada, home of the Dainty. She will interrupt you mid-sentence if she sees a dog.
