Ms. Ivanans won the Allegra Johnson Award in Memoir Writing for In Pillness and in Health: A Memoir (UCLA Writers' Extension) (2015). Pillness has been acquired by Next Door Publishers and translated into Spanish. It will be available in Spain and parts of Latin America in 2022.
Pillness is her first book. She is currently working on the sequel: Big G and Me: In Pillness and in Health II.
Ms. Ivanans is a two-time kidney-transplanted, sober woman and occasional actress. She lives with her husband, Kevin in Winnipeg, Canada, home of the Dainty.
