Interesting execution. We've got this exploration of friendships changing at the end of elementary school, responsibility, and finding adventure in your own back yard. The first two are often explored in middle grade fiction. The last one is a little harder for readers to grasp and can be difficult to convey without taking on a condescending tone. Its a rather unique book but I'm not sure i really liked it.

This is a sweet, awkward, laugh-out-loud read. just like the 5th-6th grade characters we come to love. There is a commonality to the money problems, name brand look alikes, relationship challenges, and not-so-smart ideas to which every one of us can relate. This is a thoroughly enjoyable read that kids will definitely buy into.

Quirky, but great. A useful addition to the library. Aimed more at lower school and upper primary level. Entertaining and engaging, a lovely story

This was a cute novel. I love the message of the importance of family, honesty, and integrity. This is a message that needs to be encouraged in our students. The first half of the book was a little slow setting up the action, but the second half made up for it. I will recommend this to my students.

Thank you for the advanced copy.
