Eva is a geek, a math loving geek whom even has a favourite calculator! She has been involved in helping out to tutor students. She is told by Josh, one of the popular school footballers, that she looks like a librarian with her glasses, but a cute one which boosts her low confidence. She has a serious issue with touching other people's belongings in an OCD behavioural way. But, she sees a pattern or a vision, a part of that person that isn't on show to the world, a secret. Both her parents are dead and so she has been raised by her mum's sister and pastor husband whilst they cope with quadruplets too.
Charlotte is her best friend and her opposite, tall, blonde and plays the cello.

Zenn, is a guy whom is struggling with math and is late when we originally meet him in the book, to meet up with Eva as she tutors struggling students and Zenn is new to the school.

Eva struggles with her college applications, she feels she should stay home and help with the kids but does want to study despite the huge debt. Charlotte fits in with the popular crowd after being asked to homecoming by Josh and subsequently she hangs out with Eva less too. Meanwhile, Eve starts to hang out in the art room and eat her lunch there with Zenn after he's done her family and church a favour. Zenn and Eva meet up and have their first kiss as well as Eva meeting Cinde, his mum.

As Eva grows closer to Zenn, she discovers the reasons to why she can't get any more visions/feelings when touching him or his clothing anymore, items around him that aren't his are still an issue though.

The surprise however, is a secret which drags up around eighteen years of history they never even knew they had between them both.

It was a gripping but heartwarming read dealing with love, loss and of course, proving even geeks fall in love when it's right. Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

Side note: I accidentally said Zenn diagram instead of Venn diagram to my A level maths teacher because of this book. It was incredibly embarrassing.

I don't usually like typical YA romance stories very much, but I quite liked this. It wasn't just romance, but that was quite a big part of the story.

Eva is eighteen and has never really been able to touch anyone or anything. Not because she can't, but because she gets serious fractals when she does. They're like visions, only made of just patterns and colour that show Eva the issues and problems people are hiding.

One good thing from these fractals is that they make her a great math tutor. Her maths skills are amazing, and when she touches anyone's calculator she can feel what math frustrations they have. Combining these two factors make Eva the best tutor, well, eva.

She has two students currently; Josh, the footballer and her best friend's crush, and the new kid, Zenn. Little does she know how both these boys are going to change her life...

Quick note: No, this is not one of those annoying love triangles.

Without giving too much away, it turns out that the circles of Eva and Zenn's life overlap more than they ever knew.

So the themes in this book are wide and plenty, ranging from religion to death of family, loss of virginity, first loves, best friends, and way more. I like how Eva is, at first, a very stereotypical nerd who finds most girls shallow and horrible, but that she allows herself to try makeup and become obsessed with a boy because she knows it's natural. Feminism should allow for love and crushes and makeup and girliness.

The writing is very appealing to the age group I think, the voice of Eva pretty accurate throughout the book. There is loads of humour, but also some pretty nice serious notes, too. The change brought on by her best friend beginning a relationship is very relatable, and well-portrayed. They drift apart, get new friends, but find their way back to each other eventually. It's quite sweet.

Eva's family is great, too. I won't ruin too much but her mother reacts so naturally to the circumstances.

My only real issue with this book is with the ending. I like that we don't know exactly what happens, but the whole deal with the scholarship/grant money... Hmm. Surely it would make Zenn angry to be treated like charity? And although it's nice, it's maybe a little too easy and perfect.

It was a really nice book. Not too long, but full of great content. Because of the ending, I will have to put my rating at 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5.

Ahhh this book was so cute! After my last read completely tore me to pieces, I was hoping to read something a bit more light-hearted and that's definitely what I got. This story was well paced and had a lot of humour and wit coming from the characters, especially Eva. I enjoyed every single thing about this book, from the connection between Eva and Zenn to the plot twists that I 100% never saw coming to really rock the boat and keep you on edge at all times wondering what would happen to the pair. So many issues are addressed in this book, such as family and friendship and how important the future is. Forgiveness and loyalty, and how social ranking really means nothing.

A full detailed review will be up on my blog http://adailycloud.blogspot.com on March 21st anticipating the book's release on April 4th but I would 100% recommend picking this heart warming book up!

I'm sorry but I'm not interested in finishing this book, I realized Im not in the mood for this and after 35 pages of trying to read it I decided I didnt want to bother wasting my time if Im not interested. Nothing personal, just not what I was looking for.

This was a cute read! The main character got on my nerves at first, but eventually grew on me! It was a little predictable, but there was also some good humor!

I’d like to start off by saying how kind the author of Zenn Diagram is. I was approved for a copy of the book on NetGalley but my copy of the eBook got messed up and Wendy Brant was so kind with sending me another. This isn’t the only amazing thing she’s done though. I’m gonna have to add “wrote an amazing book” to that list. Zenn Diagram is truly an awesome piece of writing and totally related to my math-loving-self.

Algebra, calculus, trig, you name it, I love it. So, reading a book about a huge math nerd who first falls for a guy because he makes a joke about his name relating to math, well... I was hooked almost immediately.

This novel had a fun twist to it though. It wasn’t just another teen love story, but is about a girl who had read people through touch. First just their emotions, but over time she can see their deep, personal problems. Fun, right? Yeah, not so much. It causes her to not ever want to have any contact with others. That is until she meets Zenn. Hardworking, artistic, Zenn who had me falling in love right along with Eva.

The whole plot was such a fun idea and I could not for the life of me put this book down.

Something else that I really loved about the building of Eva’s character was how she always thought she didn’t like certain things because she couldn’t ever do them, but after she was allowed the opportunity she found herself standing in a new light. I think that sometimes it can be hard for people to accept new things in their life when they’ve lived only one way for as long as they could remember, but we just need to remember that life is ever-changing and sometimes we just need to strap in and enjoy the ride.

This YA romance had me squeeling and blushing quite a few times, and I’m gonna be honest... I cried when it was over. I’m not entirely sure why though. It had a pretty amazing ending so I think I was just sad that it was over.

I’m so glad I got to read this awesome debut novel. Thank you Wendy Brant!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book Via NetGalley.

i've been devouring YA romances like candy lately, and this one has been my favorite in a while. The characters were interesting and unique. The storyline had a sweet romance but was deeper than just that. Very enjoyable read!

Wait a second, as I wipe my tear...

This one just shot me right in the feels, and it gave me so much more than I expected.

Eva (Ev-ah) is a math genius with this mysterious psychic power, which makes touching people a very unpleasant experience. This inability to casually touch has left her with the label of a germaphobe and sort of isolated. Then she meets Zenn, and she finds that she would really like to touch somebody.

This book had just the right amount of weight. Although there were some very real issues addressed, they were not the main focus of the story. The story was about Zenn and Eva, and I was glad the author did not get sidetracked from this, because I loved their story.

Sidenote: My undergraduate degree is in Chemical Engineering and my graduate degree is in Science Education. The math geek in me was so delighted by this book. I mean, the math was strong.

"'Trig. Calculus.' I shrug. 'I'm kind of an all-around math slut.'"

"'Cosine,' I say, and start to copy a problem onto the paper. 'It's not just something your dad does on loans.'"

There are a lot of beautiful themes addressed here about forgiveness, sacrifice, family. It was very lovely and warmed my heart and all that other good stuff. I loved the twist, and I did not see this twist coming until Brant wanted me too (I think), and really liked how she tied it into other important parts of this story. (I know I am being vague, but I hate spoilers)

"Oh, lordy. He's using match analogies. I think I'm in love."

Most of all, I loved Eva and Zenn. Eva just jumped off the page. She was smart, funny, witty, awkward. She was someone I would want as my own friend. She was grateful for what she had, and willing to give up her time, money, and the things she may have wanted to let those she loved get what they desired. She did it for her parents, siblings, Zenn, and Charlotte. She was quite a special heroine. And Zenn. Zenn, Zenn, Zenn. He was so charming and sweet. He also had to sacrifice his wants and desires, because of his life situation. He was willing to earn his own way, and he did not want pity. Actually, these two characters had a quite a few similarities and were just perfect together.

"I think about when we met and I asked him his name and he made that Venn diagram with his hands. I probably fell in love with him right there on the sot. I think about how our circles once seemed to barely overlap. Two separate lives with a tiny sliver of math tutoring in common. But now it's like my whole circle and his whole circle are the same....."

And way to leave me with tears in my eyes and a huge smile on my face. That epilogue was everything.

Overall: a beautiful and moving story of love and sacrifice, that left me with a mile-wide smile.

When I read the blurb for this book, I knew I was going to like it.
But I was wrong.
I didn’t like it, I LOVED IT.

I’m going to say it outright.
Friends, Romans, countrymen, READ THIS BOOK.

Eva, our girl, is probably one of the best female characters I have ever read. She’s the kind of girl who saves her Math homework for last just so she could savor it. The kind of girl who counts sidewalk squares and hops over each one that is a prime number. The girl whose phone passcode is the first four digits of pi.

She’s smart and hilarious but she’s also flawed and did some stupid things just like the rest of us.

Zenn (cool name, by the way), on the other hand, is really artistic, and hardworking, and cute, and sweet, and awesome.. and okay, I just love the guy. Really. He has officially earned a spot in my book boyfriends list.

Aside from the main characters, I adored Eva’s siblings, the quadruplets. The characters in this book were amazing. They were all very real and I felt close to them. I can definitely imagine them in real life, as my neighbours or something. I felt like I got to know them and saw them grow throughout the book.

Honestly, at one point, it made me cry even though no one died. I only cry in books when someone dies. But it was so heartbreaking and complicated and I felt really bad for them that a tear just suddenly rolled down my cheek!

But the best part of this book was the romance. Seriously. I recommend this to all my friends who love YA contemporary romance. A lot of the scenes in this book were really swoon-worthy. It was so cute and fluffy.

Again, friends, please buy and read this book when it comes out and spazz with me.

The idea of Zenn Diagram was something that captivated me from the beginning. The whole aspect of Eva having visions when she touches people or their belongings makes for a great narrative and I liked how it all developed.

The falling in love, the secret, the fallout, everything was just the perfect romantic story. It was just too cute and sweet how the came to their feelings and what they are willing to give up for each other just solidified how amazing these two characters were for each other. I have to say I was very impressed by the plot twist toward the end, I was so not expecting that, so that made for even a greater story.

The reason I gave this book 3 stars out of 5 is just because there was some aspect of the book that I just couldn't be okay with. Some parts of the book felt a bit cliche and predictable. I don't really know what it was honestly, there was just something that just didn't click like I thought it would.

The story was good, the character development was good, the plot twist was awesome, something completely unexpected, but I don't know if it was the writing, the way Eva was just as a person or the fact that I didn't find out how she came to have the gift she has. Sometimes a book just doesn't click and I don't enjoy it as much as I originally thought I would. That's what made Zeen Diagram not the perfect book I was expecting.

Still I liked it, I would buy it and maybe read it later on and probably like it better. So I do recommend it, and I would encourage people to read it because it is a good story, it just wasn't the story for me.

What a great book! The main character Eva had a certain depth about her which really resonates with being a teenager. Parts of the story were predictable however this did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the novel. I'll definitely be looking out for more publications by this author and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Young Adult fiction.

This is a story that touched my heart, and made me like math! This story is about Eva a girl who is quirky, highly intelligent, and absolutely adores math. Eva has never been able to fall in love with a boy, as she feels awkward touching people or objects related to them due to strange occurrances that happen to her when she does. Eva's struggles with her inability to have human touch with others unfolds in the story in an intriguing and genuine way. There are layers upon layers to this story. Eva is both a beautiful and complex character. One day Eva meets a boy that will change everything and turns her world upside down. This is a beautiful, story about the power of love triumphing over all.

This was a DNF for me. The writing was awkward and the plot too everywhere to follow closely. I did love the characters tho so I was disappointed.
