Thank you to Createspace and Net Galley for the chance to read and review this book. I really enjoyed this book! At the beginning of the story, Miss Fannie Mae has passed away. This is the story of her family and the legacy Miss Fannie Mae left. I was pulled into this story right away-I loved the setting and the feeling of this book. The author is a master at writing descriptions-at times I felt like I was there with all of the sisters. This book will also make you hungry-they eat so many good Southern dishes. Don't worry though-the author has included a lot of recipes at the end! Highly recommend to all Historical Fiction lovers!

The beginning of the book is very powerful. The description of Miss Fannie's death and the excursus in the past, with the killing of his father by Ku Klux Klan, suggest a story of redemption. And in fact, a redemption story is, but so full of details, good intentions, of everything goes well, repetitions and stereotypes, that in the end blood glucose rises.
Save the book from the two stars the recipes contained at the end.
I thank Createspace and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy in return for an honest review.

I couldn't tell if the book was fiction or non-fiction. The plot began quickly, but there were so many characters, that I was completely lost.
