Coming up with recipes to feed a family everyday can be a challenge. This book makes a nice addition to help with ideas. I have not tried all the recipes but most of the ones I tried did work. I did have to improvise and add more flour to the bread recipe but eventually got it right. A useful book, although a little pretentious.

Feeding a Family by Sarah Waldman is a nice cookbook for families to prepare meals together. I love the concept, and many of the recipes seem interesting enough that I would want to try it. Photos are gorgeous, though I do wish there were more photos of the completed meals.

This is full with fantastic meals that are cost-effective and don't take up loads of time. Have already made some of the recipes and they've gone down a treat!

Disclaimer: I am by no means a good cook. I am actually a novice when it comes to cooking.

This cookbook has some really interesting and yummy looking recipes. A lot of which is over my head in terms of skill level required. (That or I was just intimidated by the instructions.) Still, I was able to find a couple recipes that I look forward to trying.

One of THE best cookbooks I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I can't wait to buy it - both a copy for my library and a copy for my own shelf. Gorgeously photographed recipes that are healthy, family and time friendly, and versatile. Each recipe includes what parts of the cooking kids can help with and what parts can be modified into baby food. It is so refreshing to read a cookbook written by a woman who is juggling family and work just like I am, and I love expanding my repertoire with fresh healthy and easy recipes tested by a family just like mine. All of the recipes I've tried have been foolproof and delicious. A joy to read and a greater joy to cook from.

A great cookbook broken down into meals for each season of the year. Most meals are set to feed a family of 4, so smaller families could always have leftovers. Many recipes also have suggestions for what to do with leftovers in that case. I love the format of this cookbook, and believe any family would enjoy this book for their culinary collection.

This book is everything a family needs, not just the typical family unit but couples or large families can also gain a lot from reading this book.

As soon as I opened it I was already impressed, anyone that has handy suggestions for planing, shopping and preparation has won my heart. I have always been the type of person who likes a well stocked pantry so I really enjoyed looking at the master list for pantry items in this book, I was happy to see a few of my solid stocked items and favourites on the list....such as Sriracha, red lentils and diced tomatoes.

One of my other most loved parts of the book is that the recipes are sectioned in season order, I find this a convenient way to use a cook book. The recipes are practical (i'm not an awesome cook so I like that I could cook them), family friendly yet innovative, and have useful hints for what could be prepared for the following evening (genius).

There is a beautiful mix of photos of family and food, the page with roasted carrots were looking so mouthwatering that I wanted them on a plate in front of me there and then. The book feels very personal and the added touch of ways to incorporate the meal into a baby friendly version shows that this book is truly for the family unity.

Thank you to the author Sarah Waldman for keeping it real and achievable.
