I highlighted so many passages in this book. The bit about the light spectrum blew my mind and stuck with me, even though it was just a random thing that had nothing to do with the story. I definitely need to go back and reread this.

Hay House authors always seem to produce the most inspirational work. As a writer who has faced similar challenges, I related to Jame's book on many levels and kept finding myself taking photos of the pages so I could remember particular comments and re-read them when I'm feeling down. It's so typical to want to control any and all situations, but that's not how life works. Life is chaotic and weird and uncomfortable. This book touches upon many key subjects re: how to live your best life. I'd highly recommend it.

This book is amazing. I enjoyed every second of it. The part about different types of fear and how to handle them was so valuable to me. I really enjoyed this book.

Overall a insightful read on the human ego. There were many "AH HA" moments, that had me scribbling notes when the author touched a nerve that related to me. Then there was the third of the book that left me scratching my head, forcing me to re-read a section and still wonder what he was getting on about. There was no connection for this reader but there might be for others, this is a person journey each person might find a different point relevant.
I finished with a page of notes, several things to contemplate, and a new vision of my emotions and drives. This was a subject I had not encountered before in the self help books I have read before and I learned something. Well I hope I did. I'd recommend it to those who find themselves stuck in a rut, and feeling fear of making a change. It may just fit where other books have failed.

S#it Your Ego Says is one of the most useful books I have read this year and while still in the first chapter, I was emailing clients and friends to recommend it. I have ordered 10 copies to have in my loaning library. James McCrae gives an easily accessible angle on avoiding ego traps. This book will absolutely be recommended reading for anyone I hire, mentor or coach. I can't think of anyone who could not benefit from this book.
The writing is clean, it's not preachy, not at all woo-woo and the psychology is simple to digest while not dumbing down the subject matter. Complex concepts are broken down and delivered in logical, solid examples. I went straight to his website and subscribed to the email list. I rarely do that.
This book will change a lot of lives for the better.
Bravo James! Change the world!
