Eh. I should have known I wouldn't like this book, but one can dream. There's nothing really wrong with this book, I just don't like reading MCs that I can't relate to. Still, the story itself was good and I think there are plenty of people who will enjoy it.

I couldn't finish reading this book. I was going along with it just fine until one of the main characters threw around the term "tranny" without any reaction whatsoever from the other main character. If a character in a book is going to employ such terms that are clearly offensive, another character should call them on it, especially in a genre like young adult; otherwise, a reader might come to the conclusion that the author finds no fault with this kind of behavior. I could not get past this to even finish reading the novel. Therefore, I'm giving the book a one star rating, even though I dislike even rating books I DNF'd.
