This book was hard putting down. Steve Jackson has managed to write a very interesting book that tells the readers about the damages cases like this one has not only to the unfortunate but also to a lot of other people

This is the kind of book that makes you want to learn more about how and why these killings happen

Minimally interesting book, but not particularly well written.

The thing that is really annoying about this book is that a book about a serial killer should have all the makings of a great read. Instead this is boring, not enough real information and constant repetitions . If you don’t have enough information for a whole book, you crowd it with unimportant detail as the author has done here.

Chapter X is a good example of a whole chapter that could have been summarized in a paragraph or two and there are more examples of the need for deleting whole pages.

Some crime authors, like Ann Rule, know how to fill a book with important information so the reader keeps wanting to read what will happen. This book is so BORING I am skipping pages. At 32% read, this book is so far nothing but a catalogue of the killer's crimes.

The question is if author did not really have enough material for a book… either it didn’t exist or, in his rush to publish another book, he didn’t take the time to adequately research the material.

Either do some research or if the material doesn’t truly exist, then do as Ann Rule does, write anthologies of cases . This book is severely lacking insight as to who the killer is, what is his background, what made him like this, i.e., there is nothing that delves into the psyche of a serial killer.

Steve Jackson is a great true crime novelist and I have read many of his books in the past. And, just like the other ones, this one is great. Jackson uses finesse and covers the story with great care. This allows us to not only get a good experience with reading it but let's us readers develop our own opinion of the murders based on the facts given. With that being said, readers who enjoy reading about real crime cases and those who binge watch Investigation Discovery on tv should give this book a try
