5☆ Fresh and Exciting

Megan is the main character in this story.
She isn't like the other vengeance demons she has mixed blood, and for this she increasingly gets picked on.
She is part Vengeance Demon and part Trickster.

Trickster is not an ability I have come across before, so was intrigued.
The Trickster is all about fun and chaos and wreaking havoc.
It couldn't be more different from the Vengeance side of her.

Megan is extremely strong and determined. Despite always getting put down because she is not full breed she does not let the haters stop her achieving, even when they stop at nothing to see her fail.

I loved The Vengeance Demon in Buffy and Megan is equally as funny. I don't think she means to come across as amusing but it's her Trickster side, bursting to get out.

The whole concept of a Vengeance Demon is like a huge dose of Karma!
Having the ability to dish out vengeance to those who have wronged is an absolutely fab idea! However Megan doesn't always get it right. At one point she nearly gets herself killed.

One of my favourite punishments was when she gave a cheating husband labour pains.... best punishment! Laugh out loud moment right there!

Reference...... " “A taste of childbirth pain, which is a fitting punishment for cheating on your pregnant wife with the whole cheerleading squad.”...I had to pat myself on the shoulder for coming up with that particular punishment."

I loved each and every character. Megan's family are a great bunch. Her cheeky brothers ( also tricksters), Her sister a vengeance demon and her parents both hugely supportive.

So when Megan decides to go to Uni to become the Vengeance Demon she craves to become, What could possibly go wrong!!

Louisa has written a fun, fresh new take on fantasy and demons. Loved the new concept of a Trickster Demon.... chaotic and fun!

It was exciting, humorous, fresh, strong characters, kick ass Main Female  character, Great twists, and an exciting adventure.

Highly recommend to readers who love Fantasy, fresh new demons, humour and a  strong female lead.
