Another great read by TM Logan. This was a fast paced and gripping reading with a twist I certainly didn’t see coming.

Unfortunately, this was one of those books where I correctly guessed the ending very early on, which was disappointing. I think the overall premise had potential but was let down by the pacing and writing choices.

Lies is a twisty and emotional rollercoaster of a book. Strong, fully fleshed-out characters, a dose of tension that will have you biting your nails and a humdinger of a twist at the end. This is a fabulous thriller.

A twisting thriller that really drew me in. Watching the situation escalate from an altercation to suspected murder and seeing Joe’s attempts to prove his innocence made for some really tense moments. The author really captured the suspense and the frustration whilst keeping the truth skilfully hidden.

TM Logan offers readers a domestic thriller that kept me entertained throughout. I appreciated the ability to experience the events through a man's eyes, which is usually not the case. The premise was intriguing and overall the story was solid, if a little predictable. The pacing seemed a little slow to me at times, however the characters were strong and layered which kept me returning to the story. I would read more from TM Logan.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

This novel starts with a bang and I was hooked for a few chapters. While the book was well written, it was really predictable. Not only do you figure out the lies and secrets you also can figure out where it will go. I will say that it did keep me listening/reading. For mystery/suspense addicts, I would say skip this one.

***I received an eARC from NETGALLEY***

pretty predictable but still not boring thriller that will grab you from the beginning and only leave you once you finished it.
Don't expect a unique plot, but even without it, this book will be worth a read!

Lies is one of those psychological thrillers that you can binge in one sitting, it’s fast paced and fun and one of those reads that flies by and before you know it you’re finished. In a market that’s over saturated with domestic thrillers Lies manages to stand out from the crowd and Logan brings his own unique twist to the genre.

One of the things I liked the most about this one was that Joe was the kind of character that you can root for. So many times psychological thrillers have highly unlikable characters and while that’s fun, it was a nice change of pace to enjoy a protagonist and not want to smack them upside the head! I also enjoyed Joe’s relationship with his adorable son, Will it felt authentic and sweet and was so nice to see in a thriller.

So of course this was twisty, it’s a thriller after all but I really was surprised by the main twist in the end and that’s always appreciated especially as I’m a pretty good armchair detective. Social media also played a huge role in the plot and that made it feel so fresh and relevant, probably yet another reason that this was a standout for me. If you like PT you’ll enjoy this one, it’s basically everything I look for in one with its own unique spin.

Lies in three words: Gripping, Propulsive and Tense.

This was a definite page turner! The title says it all- you absolutely don't know who is lying, and if you have a suspicion that someone is lying, you definitely don't know why. This book kept me up reading late into the night because I just had to find out what was going on, and when I did, I was pretty surprised. The ending twist summing everything up was surprising and intriguing, exactly what I'm looking for with a psychological suspense book.
I don't want to give too much detail because I don't want to give anything away. I really dislike the trope of someone being falsely accused of something and scrambling around to prove their innocence, but in this case I will give the author props because it didn't bother me as much as it usually does. I still could have done without it, but it worked within the confines of this narrative.

T.M. Logan has certainly upped the game of the thriller genre with Lies. Forget everything you think you know about these characters because anything and everything is a lie. Saying that the plot has twists is an understatement, and to affirm that the ending is unexpected a trivialization.
Lies will leave you reeling log after you're turned the last page. Never has a book been so adequately named, and a thriller so nearly Hitchcockian.

This book made me underestimated it at the beginning, when I read the first few chapters, I was like “ Oh , I know what will happen next ".
But WoW, it actually made me wonder until the end. The end was explosive and heartbreaking, but I loved Joe character all the way.

an incident happens at the beginning that will own years of deception and lies.
very entertaining , of course I felt frustrated with joe sometimes , but that's why it is good.

Joe is driving his son home when they notice his wife's car getting off the exit and his son thinks they should follow her and surprise her. At first Joe doesn't think it's a good idea but in the end he does follow her and that's when he sees her in a heated conversation with a friend of theirs, after this things get crazy for Joe. This was a fast read that kept me hooked from the very first chapter. Highly recommend!

Lies - by TM Logan is one of those books that sneaks up on you. You get drawn in, addicted, and then find yourself bereft when it finishes. Almost like blindly eating a bag of Maltesers, only to reach in, hoping to grab the last chocolate, only to find them all gone. The book left me feeling desperate to know the 'rest' of the story. What happens AFTER the end.
The twist sneaks up on even those who are so very good at guessing the end of a good book - but the characters... the characters is where it is really at. Logan writes with such authenticity, that you genuinely feel you know this family.

Joe became my best friend. A character who, at first, infuriated me with his lack of ambition, lack of drive. But he quickly became that guy that everyone knows. He was relatable, likeable and infuriating all at the same time.

The book had me gripped from the first page, and desperate to scream "I want more" at the end.

A fabulous book I will certainly be recommending.
