A perfect retelling of one of the greatest crime stories ever told. Still goes straight for the jugular after all these years!

I have mixed feelings about this book. The idea is a good one, as the book is 'an all-new telling of Michael Slade’s first Special X thriller about the psycho-hunters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.' And this is what made me to ask Netgalley to give me this book. But the process of reading it, was quite hard for me. There are so many different scenes at the beginning of the book, with so many characters, and this thing made it hard for me to remember all the names. So, sorry Michael Slade, but I can't remember more than 3 or 4 names.

On the other hand, the book is interesting and it deserves the time spent with it in your hands.

I devoured this book between work and home and it kept my brain working at high speed, thinking who the killer is or what will happen next.

About the end of the book I will tell only this: is an exceptional and annoying scene.
