A good book to sink your teeth into. Sexy and a fun break from reality. Renee Rose never disapoints!

Took me a while to get through this story, I have put it down too many times to count . It was not one of my favorites and I think thats why I struggled so much with it. It wasn't the writer I think I just couldn't click with the story.

At first I thought this would be a typical shifter but it was a cross between shifters and 50 shades which I really enjoyed

After her ex-boyfriend gets her into some serious trouble, Melissa Bell finds herself being tired of bad boys and guys who seem to have no future and no plans. So when Cody shows up looking sexy and ready to save the day... she can't help but feel like he is like all of the rest of the sexy bad boys of the world and is up to no good.

Cody got the call that Melissa needed help and made a promise...an Alpha's promise, that he would keep her safe.

The real question is can Cody convince Melissa that he could be the best bad boy she's ever had or will her past ruin things before it can even get started? Read and find out!

I voluntarily read this advanced review copy of this book

Overall this book was pretty good it was action packed and super hot. Melissa got on my nerves at times with all of her judgements and assumptions but Cody was man enough to show her that everything not what it appears to be.

I have a great love for PNR; this book in my option was a really good read. I really like stories that show the best of people, also “don’t judge a book by its cover” lesson we should all remember. Melissa Bell is a bright woman with an even brighter future, so why can’t she find herself a normal guy, one that’s not a loser like her ex? When Melissa’s no good for nothing ex puts her life in danger, Melissa’s brother-in-law sends her help. Even though she swore off bad boys, she finds herself under the protection of a dirty talking, tattooed, sexy alpha shifter. I loved the banter Cody and Melissa have with each other and the closeness they developed in a short amount of time. If you like PNR with a sassy woman and sexy Alpha then this is a great read for you.

So good. I love the exploration into the world of the character's and not just the romance. It is a series, but can easily be read by itself.

Melissa has found herself in some serious trouble because of her loser ex-boyfriend. Her sister and Alpha wolf husband are on their honeymoon. He calls up Cody, an alpha wolf from another pack, asking for a favor to keep Melissa safe until they return home.

The problem is, Melissa is too trusting and loyal, finding herself with men who treat her badly. She's fed up and wants to make a change. Cody was thrown out of his pack by his father when he was a boy with parting words saying he isn't good enough and could only mate with a human. Apparently this is an insult.

I really wanted to love this one. I love a dominant hero and you definitely get that, but Cody kept ruining my love for him. His fathers taunting words about only being good enough to mate a human causes him to deny Melissa over and over. His wolf recognizes her as his mate but he refuses to accept it because of pride. It irked me that Melissa was considered beneath him. Add in Melissa's own judging and pushing away, I just felt the push and pull dominated too much of the story.

I've read several books by this author and mostly enjoy her books. She feeds me my addiction of dominant males that are very protective. So even though this story wasn't my favorite, I'm still looking forward to more in the series.
