Absolutely loved this from start to cliffhanger (damn you, Janelle) I'm off to find the next in the series because I really need to know what happens! Fabulous writing, brilliant story i read it almost in one go (sleep was needed) and I cant wait for the rest of the series.

Good storyline idea

I really enjoyed the storyline, the idea and where the book is trying to go, but the execution was a bit lacking to me . It was a bit to YA for my liking, but I am sure there are many people out there who would love it for that exact reason. I have bought the 2nd and 3rd books and will be reading them to see what happens and how it all plays out .

I'm not usually a massive fan of fallen angel stories but this was too beautiful to resist! It was full of suspense, had a wonderful love story and, damn, that cliffhanger! So unbelievably excited to jump into the next instalment!

Vivian/ Viv is a H S graduate and wanted to be a prosecutor. Viv got the chance of a lifetime to intern with a great defense attorney Dermont Banks before she starts law school. Dermont Banks has a reputation for representing the worst of offenders. Also the Banks sons are there and they are hot. The Banks family has a big secret and Viv doesn’t know it. Then Viv develops feelings for silent Caleb which will change her life forever. Caleb is not used to feeling thing things as he is quiet, unfriendly, and cold except for his mother who he loves deeply and understands why his mom feels as she does.But Caleb and Viv are deeply attracted to each other but Viv doesn’t want to jeopardize her internship by having a relationship with Caleb. Caleb does change as he develops feelings for Viv and he gets very protective of Viv. Everyone in Caleb’s family especially Dermont are against Caleb's and Viv's relationship. Caleb is a fallen angel. Viv also doesn’t know that she is the subject of an prophesy for her association with Caleb who is the son of the devil and this will bring about the end of the world. Every few centuries a woman is born to be the devil’s mate and is the only one who can have his children. Being close to the devil brings a long life and eventually insanity. A secret society does watch the devil .
I have mixed feelings about this story. Some things I like about the story and some I don’t really care for. First of all I HATE I will repeat that I HATE cliffhangers. So that didn’t help how I felt about this story. I was pulled into the story from the start and stayed there until the end of this story. I thought Viv and Caleb were a great couple considering once Caleb starting responding to Viv. I was definitely scared of Dermont. The plot was great but I felt Viv and Caleb fell in love/ lust to fast especially for someone who basically didn’t have feelings- except for his mom of course. Pacing of the story was good. But at times did feel this was a little rushed. This did remind me of twilight but that was ok because i loved the whole Twilight series. So that wasn’t a big problem. So as you can see there were something I did like and others not so much especially that cliffhanger. I hated that as already mentioned.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. It was definitely a teen novel but I felt that the characters were pretty well written and the storyline was very teen love/angsty, kind of Twilight like in the feel of it. I liked it though and it worked, I feel that the storyline was a little rushed at some points, the characters seemed to fall in love pretty quick, but other than that, it was a good read. I think I will might read a sequel in this instance.

Actually a 3.5 stars.

I honestly really enjoyed this book. It was fun, cute and if you include the Devil in the mix, I WILL love it.

Now the reason why I didn't give more stars is, although it was a good story, it felt a lot like Twilight; random girl falls in a love with a mysterious guys and their love is like no others.

If that doesn't bother you, I would give this book a chance, Like I said, I had a good time reading it and I will read Part 2 ☺️

A nice, easy read. Romance, friendship and clever writing.

Yep you guessed it! It was the cover that made me want to read this baby! Its so pretty, one of those covers that you want to rip off the words and hang on your wall!!!

So this one was an ok decent read. It wasnt steller but it was ok. The story was good but had a lot of those trope things people talk about. It had some slight insta-love, some issues with the content of the writing itself, and my feelings for this one were pretty much in the meh area.

It did give a good new spin on the whole angel thing which was great I really enjoyed that. But all in all it was your typical romance with a hint of paranormal. Nothing to really right home about.

While I loved the premise of Balance and the copy really drew me in, the characters didn't quite grip me the way I wanted them to. I also felt the pace was lacking in places and the too fast in others, however, I feel that this has so much potential and the author clearly has talent within a very strong genre.
