RATING: 4.5 STARS

I really loved this picture book! The illustrations in this book reminded me of books from when I was kid. And, the story is simplistic but so sweet. This little blue chair is loved by a little boy, and when he grows up and out of the chair, his mother puts it out to be taken. The chair travels to the world, and becomes something to someone. The ending made me want to cheer! I would recommend this to kids 6-8 years old.

This is a lovely, gentle, circular read. The illustrations are subtle but do have details that will make a lapread worthwhile. Students will enjoy predicting throughout the book, and this would make a good mentor text for writing a circular story.

I received this ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.
This is a cute little story chronicling the story of a blue chair through its many owners. It starts with a young boy and ends with that young boy who is now an adult. The chair travels all over the world. I liked the story but it was a bit long.

A somewhat fantastical (or unrealistic, if you’re feeling negative) biography of a chair. I think children will love it, but adults will notice plot holes.

Absolutely loved this little story. Such a touching story of the sentimental value of things and the places they can go.

As a lover of old “stuff” I really enjoyed Little Blue Chair. The illustrations and minimalist and adorable. I will certainly purchase this title to read to my daughter and teach her about reusing, repurposing and recycling.
