In this sports romance, the competitive edge on and off the court adds a delightful twist to a tale of love, self-discovery, and surprising connections. NBA star Chase Holbrook is known for his skills on the court and his legendary reputation with women. However, with a teammate vying for the offensive record, Chase accepts a bet to stay clear of the ladies. The catch? The team mascot, Willow 'Bolt' Bend, is tasked with monitoring him. Despite initial hesitations, Willow wants to uncover the man behind the playboy image. As they navigate the bet and unexpected sparks fly, 'Celi-Bet' becomes more than a challenge, potentially bringing them closer than ever.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review the advance copy of this book.

I enjoyed this more than I expected! Great mix of sports romance and sweet slowburn. I like the way we got to know the characters as they got to know each other.

A sports romance with lots of younger characters, probably suited more for the NA readers rather than me. Lots of throw away lines, modern dialogue etc. It was okay, but I have to say I wasn't a fan of the writing style. Lots of other readers seemed to enjoy this story. My thanks go to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC in return for my opinion.

I loved Chase and Willow's story! It's great when two people who just seem to run each other the wrong way, find common ground and learn to get along.
There's sadness in Willow's life, but she always seems to look on the bright side and help those less fortunate. Now that Chase is seeing this whole new side of Willow, he's not sure if she'll be the best person to win his celi-bet! And Willow's blunt nature is hilarious!
5 stars!

I enjoyed this book very much. The author did a wonderful job with the written word. I love reading sports romances and it was a nice change reading about basketball instead of football or hockey. Chase and Willow have great chemistry.

I liked this story and it is one of my favorite tropes in romance, but it all felt a little too quick for me, so I didn't end up loving it. I did like the story and the characters, I just would have liked a little more character development. I do think I will try out the companion novels in the future, though.

‘Celi-bet’ by Leslie North is a sweet story of two people who develop a friendship that builds into something more. It was a surprising read as I have being going through a phase of reading a lot of sports based romances and had almost had my fill of them or so I thought.

This was a tale of two opposing characters that learn to like one another the more time they spend together. Willow is a feisty independent woman who has been chosen to monitor Chase until the end of the season and see if he can keep his bet of not having sex. Chase is a sexy playboy with a reputation and the more time he spends with Willow the more he realises what he has taken for granted.

It is a story that will surprise you along the way and having you happy and sad as you get immersed in the characters and their tales. Worth reading and one I would definitely recommend.

NBA stare Chase and team mascot Willow are at odds with each other whenever they are around one another. However, when Chase has to ask Willow for help with a celi-bet, she sees a caring side to him that makes her fall in love with him.

This is the second book in the Solomon Series, but this book could be read as a standalone. In fact, I read the entire series out of order, but in no way was there any confusion since each book has their own story line. I have read many books by Leslie North and this is in fact my most favorite series by her. I look forward to reading even more from this author.
