The motorcycle club setting is not my favorite but I always love Katie McGarry's characters. They always make me fall in love with them.
This book is the third in the series. We have had some angst building between these two characters for two books. Chevy and Violet are childhood friends to lovers to nothing as Violet blames the club for her father's death. She has pushed everything related to the club out of her life, even Chevy.
I really loved seeing their story come full circle and the series wrap up. I also love the cross over we get with the Pushing the Limits series.

Book three in the Thunder Road series leaves a lot to be desired. For me, it didn't have the same spark as the other two books. Recommended for fans of the series or for motorcycle club romance fans.

I absolutely love the way Katie McGarry writes, the way she develops her characters and the way her novels are the perfect mix of romance, action, amazing characters and unique storylines.

Long Way Home is the third and final book in Katie McGarry's Thunder Road series. Just like the first two books in the series, it was written in such a way that you couldn't put the book down until it was complete. If you haven't checked out Katie McGarry yet, you will not be disappointed when you do.

Going through my netgalley account and just found the section of books titled Archived, not downloaded. I apparently requested and was approved for this book but I never DLd it and so did not read it. I appreciate the approval and while still interested in the title I am not sure when I will get to read it. If/when I do I will be sure to post a review on Instagram, goodreads, storygraph, and Amazon.

Katie's books are books I wish I had when I was a teen. But then when I was a teen the YA section was pretty slim pickings. Even though Katie's not a teen she has a knack for writing books that teens want to read. Long Way Home is the final book in the Thunder Road series about a motor cycle gang. It's Chevy and Violet's story which I was looking forward to in the beginning. Both Violet and Chevy don't really fit into the gang but Chevy doesn't see it at first. Throughout the novel both Violet and Chevy change for the better and grow closer together and Chevy finds the missing pieces of his past.

Katie McGarry is known for a well written book, filled with mystery and suspense. I loved the character devlopement (Chevy was amazing!) and Violet was great too. Perfect angsty YA read.

Nowhere But Here was the first of McGarry's books that I read, and it quickly put her writing into my heart, and I just adore her stories. For some reason, I never managed to get around to reading the final Thunder Road book, but for Christmas I got a copy, and was so happy to be finally finishing the story, and finding out what life is like for them all in Snowflake, and to finally see Violet and Chevy's story. After Violet's father was killed while working for the Terror motorcycle gang, Violet has turned away from the MC group, and wants absolutely nothing to do with any of them, and that includes her friends, and ex-boyfriend, Chevy, whose entire life revolves around the club. Well, it would, he's a McKinley after all. Chevy has known that everything in his life would be geared towards joining the MC fully, and he's now questioning it all. When they are both kidnapped by the rival gang, the Riot, and get told things about their father's that make them question everything, they don't know who to trust, except for each other. The more the delve into the two MC groups, the more danger they're in, and will they be able to come out of it all alive?

I think this one might have been my favourite of the two. Because it's a companion series, it's not a direct sequel, but what has happened in the previous books plays a role here, and we learn a lot more about characters who we have come to know and love. We've met Violet and Chevy before, of course, but having their points of views and being in their heads in this book was a way of understand them just that little bit more, to tie together all the questions I might have had, esoterically from the last book. I really, really enjoyed Violet as a character. She was grieving the loss of her father, but also of what her life could've been, as being the daughter of a biker has always been a bit of a stigma, and she's starting to branch out and get away from the 'taint' that comes with the territory. However, she can't avoid them when her mam invites them around always, and all of the Terror want to help support her and her brother, but especially Eli, who thinks of himself as a second father to her. Violet is particularly angry with Eli, blaming him for her dad's death, but they have some moments, especially as the book progressed, where they were coming to terms with their realities, and their character growths were fantastic.

The same goes for Chevy, really, as he grows in the book into his own person, and not who everyone else thinks he should or shouldn't be. Just because he's a McKinley, does that mean he should be in the Terror, or should he look at being something, someone, different? His love for Violet, and for the MC seems contradictory at times, but as he works with Violet to take down the Riot, and protect the Terror, it may be that he's able to love both, and be loved by both. His and Violet's relationship across the whole series was messy, and real, and I adored it in this book. Really, it helped to cement the story, and overall, ties everything together. I'm so happy with how this series ended, and can't wait to read McGarry's latest release!

Wahhh, so heart-quenchingly awesome, thrilling and beautiful. <3 I've read this a total of 3 times. The second time was with the audiobook.

I’ve been waiting to read this one for so long and it didn’t disappoint! All of McGarry’s books are heartfelt and loving. But it’s not without it’s drama. The drama makes it both fun and amazing.

The sampler of it sounds very promising. I loved Katie McGarry's Crossing the Lines, so I'll definitely give this one a chance!

It was great! I loved the reunion of both series and the great bond between Chevy and Violet. I hope this is not the end for the Thunder Road series.

I absolutely love this story line and these characters. This sampler definitely leaves you wanting more.

I am giving this a 3 out of 5 stars only because I can not judge on how the rest of the book is. But I did find this sampler of the first 60 pages interesting. I am intrigued and now want to read the rest of the book!

As always, Katie McGarry delivers a romance that is full of meaning. She would always be one of my favorite authors, and I truly need to read the rest of this novel soon!

I've been excited for Violet and Chevy's story since book one of the Thunder Road series and their role as side characters. I think I got suckered in to requesting this Netgalley ARC thinking it was the full book....only to be accepted and then realize it was just a brief sampler. Due to that, I put it off for several (five) months before beginning to read it.

Violet is the daughter of a Reign of Terror motorcycle club member who was killed. Ever since his death she has been convinced that the club is the reason he died and she wants nothing to do with it, or with her now ex-boyfriend, Chevy, who at 18 will become a prospect and eventually patch in to the club as well. It's not a life she wants for herself, her mom or her brother. She does everything she can to avoid the Reign of Terror, even though her heart still loves Chevy.

One night her car breaks down and she and her brother are stranded alone to figure out who to call to help them. None other than Chevy drives up on his motorcycle. Before Chevy can do much to help her, a rival club called The Riot, come driving up, and through force, kidnap both Chevy and Violet. The Riot is involved in illegal activity and don't have any morals when it comes to the treatment of them. Locked in a dark room with no way out, Violet only has Chevy to depend on for safety...however their safety is an illusion because she knows, even though he promises he will do what he can to protect her, that they are in a very dangerous situation.

63 pages is so short....but the purpose of the sampler or teaser is to get the reader excited about the book and it's release date so that they will purchase it to read more. In this aspect this sampler hits a home run! It made me anxious and nervous for what's to come! Especially with the killer cliffhanger of a gun going off. Thankfully I had access to the full book to dive right in to.

I received this digital sampler via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is not for me. I enjoyed reading about the characters and their interactions. But I was not that big a fan of the motorcycle gang. Yes I knew that would play a role I was just not expecting to dislike it. The author did a good job making it intense and everything. But personally this is not what I want in contemporaries.

Still recommend.

loved it. I always loved Katie Mcgarry's writing especially book one to this. It intrigued me enough to go ahead and purchase a copy.
