In a Journey to Appleville six neighborhood children set off on a quest to get to Appleville in hopes of accomplishing their dreams and goals. The kids were told it was a perfect place, filled with all kinds of apples, and most importantly the Appleville fairy. The Appleville fairy was rumored to help children reach their dreams and goals and when they did, she would give them a golden apple.
The six children traveled across the land on their bikes towards Appleville. They travel past a barn with animals, and a wall full of apples that reached to the cloud in the sky. Here they found a map that led them to Appleville.
As they arrived, they saw the golden gate and the Appleville fairy. True to legend the Appleville fairy offered to help each of the children with their dreams and goals. Each child then introduced themselves and told the fairy their goals and dreams. Afterwards, the fairy gave them veach a golden apple and praised them for their bravery. The fairy then invited them all to come back to Appleville to work to accomplish their goals. As the children returned home they shared their days activities with their families, and expressed that they were all looking forward to their next trip to Appleville.
This book was simple in concept, but it allowed for a more meaningful conversation to be had with your own child or children after finishing reading it. My children loved this book, they enjoyed the illustrations and at the end there was a page dedicated to what you would like to ask the Appleville fairy? In this conversation, I learned that my son was afraid of the dark, something he had never admitted to previously. Invaluable information! Also, it leaves the door open for lots of other Appleville adventures...My children and I hope to see some more!
I was given the opportunity to read and provide a honest review of this book through NetGalley, the publisher, and the author herself. Thank you!!!

I was really excited to read this book when I heard about it. The title grabbed my attention, and the concept sounded like it could be encouraging to children. After reading the book, however, I can honestly say that it was curious...in a highly unusual way. It seemed rather incomplete, in truth. I felt that if the book had offered more depth, it could have won me over. The potential for something wonderful is there.

This had a good concept, but its not one for me, I wasn't a huge fan of the images and the story was a bit weak compared to some other books available in the market at the moment, its a shame as it does have a good idea, just not executed as well as it could, and should have been in my opinion.
