Heartwarming, engaging and irresistible, Their Meant-To-Be Baby is the eagerly awaited new novel from Medical Romance superstar Caroline Anderson!

Sam Ryder might be the most gorgeous man Kate Ashton has ever clapped eyes on, but she is certainly not interested in having a relationship with him. Although mutual attraction and flirting quickly lead to a night of red-hot passion that she will not easily forget, Kate is sure that she will never see him again – until she walks into work at the Yoxburgh Park Hospital and finds out that that he’s the new surgeon! Kate is determined to keep things strictly professional with Sam and not to let their one night of reckless abandon get in the way of her professionalism. But when Kate discovers that she is carrying Sam’s baby, she quickly realises that keeping their relationship strictly professional is no longer an option.

Relationships are also strictly off the agenda for Sam. A cruel twist of fate had seen him vow to keep his heart firmly under lock and key and to never fall in love with anyone ever again, however, Kate has managed to reawaken feelings deep within him which he had thought long buried. When he discovers that he’s going to be a father, Sam is determined to be a part of his child’s life and to give his baby the best possible childhood. However, Sam cannot help but be troubled by the fact that Kate is doing her utmost to keep him at arm’s length. While Sam wants the three of them to be a family, Kate is cautious, wary and petrified that things might be moving too fast between the two of them.

Having endured an awful childhood that had seen her pushed from pillar to post, Kate had built walls around herself which nobody had managed to breach – until that fateful night she had met Sam and spent a night of love with him. When she found out that was carrying his child, the last thing she expected was for him to want to raise their child together as a family. As Sam and Kate move in together, their practical and convenient arrangement soon develops into something more, but are these two lost and wounded souls ready to take a leap of faith and put their hearts on the line?

Caroline Anderson has done it again! Written with flair, sensitivity and heart, Their Meant-to-Be Baby is a wonderfully compulsive tale of second chances, redemption and the power of love that I found absolutely impossible to put down! Sparkling with drama, pathos and searing emotion, Their Meant-to-Be Baby tugs at the heartstrings and will have readers reaching for the tissues as they find themselves entranced by his powerful and compelling love story between two believable, richly drawn and wonderfully realised characters.

Caroline Anderson couldn’t write a bad book if she tried and Their Meant-to-Be Baby continues to cement her position as one of the genre’s finest talents!

Kate and Sam had just one night together but after a few misunderstanding it was pretty much a given that they wouldn't see eachother again after that night. Little did Kate expect that the same guy would be working as a surgeon at the same place she works, on top of that shes pregnant. Now she got to break the news and see what will become of them.

So I've read plenty of books like this and somehow this book managed to find itself some unique times to make it different. I liked the characters and getting to know their backstories to understand who they are as they are now. I thought it was interesting getting to see them handle certain situation and how they solved things together. Overall this book was really enjoyable. I manged to finish this book it a 2 hour sitting and will definitely say that it was fast paced and enjoyable.

Emotional, heartrending story about the courage to love, to take a chance and trust the other to be there if you ever fall.
Sam Ryder's heart was broken two years ago when his fiance died just weeks before the wedding. He never got over the hurt, the pain, the yearning to turn back the clock and possibly save her. The survivor's guilt is eating him inside out, and the last thing in his mind is a new relationship, not to mention one with a baby, a family. He is a kind man, gentle, considerate, and gifted doctor, yet his heart isn't available to be won over.
Kate Ashton is a talented nurse, like a machine on the ward. But her personal life has always been a mess. She had a childhood no one deserves, she has no concept of being a mother or having a family. Her big heart and bad judgment get her in trouble constantly, and falling for the one night stand would be the worst thing to do, especially since he left her in the hotel room the next morning without a word. Or so she thought.
I liked both of the characters, they were so honest and genuine with their fears, hopes, and wishes. The journey they were on wasn't easy, there were many tears and desperate moments. And those fears were legitimate, Kate was terrified to be a mother, to not be able to do it, to hurt her child unintentionally, she was lost with her overwhelming angst, yet couldn't help but love the little one growing inside her. Kate yearned for affection and love from Sam while knowing his heart wasn't there to be surrendered.
Sam is such a solid, trustworthy man. He stands behind his words and doesn't make false promises. His desire for Kate hasn't subsided, quite the opposite, if only the sorrow from the past wouldn't pop up in the least expected moments to ruin the healing gained.
Reading about Kate and Sam falling in love and finding their peace with the past, and moving on with their lives, and the difficult journey they had to take to reach that goal was an emotional, tear-filled experience to me. All the feelings were on the surface, and to convince the other that they truly did love each other was a beautiful and adorable moment to witness.
The story is a perfect mix of the developing relationship, hectic work on the hospital ward saving lives, and supportive friends rallying around the couple as they search the right thing to do with the situation they were in. A delightful, thought-provoking, captivating, and poignant story, get your tissues ready, you will need them.
