A gripping psychological thriller that I couldn’t put down. This book reeled me in from the start. I recommend this book to all psychological thriller fans.

I literally flew through this. A remarkable dark twisty and enticing story from start to finish.

You know what I love best? If I could chose?

Well…
It’s the opening chapter of the book where something happens, something that’s a shock, a jaw dropping shock that draws me in and the pace keeps up and the ending is a shocker.
I got that in this book.

I love this authors books and this was one of her back stories I couldn’t get to while books for tours. It’s the best thing I’ve done as I’m able to catch up on many, many, many books not just the thrill of brand new releases.

If you’ve not had the pleasure of reading this authors books I’d encourage you to.
Do you like Clare Mackintosh books? Then you’ll like this.

Little Sister by Isabel Ashdown is a psychological thriller that had me turning the pages as quickly as I could to find out just what would happen. Little Sister was just what I hoped for when picking this one up, a nice trip through the secrets and lies to find just how deep the betrayal would run in this family.

Little Sister is a brilliant psychological thriller which is full of plot twists and turns which keeps the reader engrossed to the very end.

The book starts with an eerie prologue which sets the scene well. It is haunting and it remains in the readers head throughout the whole book. The book is told from the two sisters point of view, swapping between them both, with past family history being revealed as the story progresses.

This is unputdownable and a book that will stay with the reader for a long time after the last line is read.

Sometimes it’s hard to put into words just how much you enjoyed a book, and Little Sister is one of those books.

Totally, unputdownable, gripping, thrilling, hold your breath, heart in your throat, ignore everyone around you and just devour page after page and those are just some of the words I can use to describe this utterly brilliant psychological thriller.

The clever, interwoven stories, the fractured and fraught relationships between the characters, the devious and controlling scenarios easily put Little Sister into my Top Ten reads of 2017.

There’s nothing more to add except…. read this book next.

Excellently put together, this is a slow burning thriller that makes for an enthralling an multi-layered read.

Emily and James have a small child, Daisy, who is left in the care of Emily’s younger sister Jess. It’s New Year’s Eve. The parents come back after their night out to find Daisy missing and that Jess has suffered one of her “episodes” or “fainting thing” – a medical condition that means she can pass out at the drop of a hat.

The police naturally become involved and as they tease apart the case, the family dynamics come under scrutiny. Just as one potential suspect comes to the fore, another is waiting in the wings. The author deftly slides in new pieces of information for the reader to consider, until one person is more clearly in the frame. And then of course the frantic search is on to find little Daisy.

This is a blended family. James was married once before and brings Emily his 15 year old daughter Chloe to his new relationship. Jess left the fold of her first family and has now been brought back in. Emily is quite understandably cracking up under the pressure of her daughter’s disappearance, but there is a hint of mental instability. Jess, the younger sister maybe isn’t all she seems. And Chloe has her own secret which launches into the family like a grenade opening up the possibility of more suspects.
The ending is intriguing, exciting, happy and sad. Keeps you guessing all through the book. I love a book like this. I highly recommend.

Kicker of a story! I enjoyed this tale of two sisters, both with a history. Reunited by their mother's funeral after many years of estrangement, the sisters reconnect (as only sisters can...I wouldn't know, no sibs.) and all sorts of mayhem follow. Emily and her family invite sister Jess into their home. All seems to be going well, until New Year's Eve... pretty intense read, but might be just right for summer ir a darker tale is wanted after too much light fluff romances! i thought it was a pretty intense, yet entertaining.

I didn't realize this was only a sample of the book when I requested it. I might have liked this book, but I only received a sample and not the entire book. I'm not interested in reading only a sample.

I received a short sample of this book so I can't give a proper review. However, from what I read, I will definitely read the full book.

The copy provided was a sampler rather the the full novel (this was not mentioned on the NetGalley page). I am therefore unable to provide a review of the novel.

A short preview but very compelling and I would definitely be interested in reading more. I picked up on a few clues as I read the taster and would like to know if my ideas feature in the rest of the book.

This was a sampler so can’t give a full review of the book. What I have read has definitely drawn me in to reading the full book so I can see where this book goes.

Jessica and Emily two sisters are reunited after sixteen years of estrangement at their mother's funeral. Pretty soon Jess moves in with Emily and starts taking care of Emily and her husband James, his fifteen year old daughter Chloe from previous marriage and their infant daughter Daisy. On the way back from New Years party Emily finds her daughter Daisy missing and Jess passed out on the floor covered with blood. While trying to find Daisy lots of secrets start unravelling revealing that the perfect family Emily tried so hard to build was not so perfect after all.

This is a strong psychological thriller based on a dysfunctional family with twisted relationships and lots of secrets that makes it a must read for all mystery lovers. A thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining read.

I would like to thank Orion Publishing Group & NetGalley for providing a sample ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

This was only a sampler, so it's hard to review since it's not the whole story, but WOW was this a good start. I can't wait to get my hands on the final novel and no-doubt will binge read it in one sitting. This is just brilliant, I will definitely be looking out for this author in the future! Full of suspense and absolutely thrilling from page one, now I just want to know the rest of the story! Download this one and give it a go, a great thriller!

I read a sampler of this good on Netgalley and really enjoyed it. Tantalizing mystery about a stolen baby and the babysitter with a memory gap. I will definitely need to read this when it comes out.

I will definitely be purchasing this book to find out what happens! I have to find out what happened to the sisters and were the baby is. Brilliant sample, captivating and really started my mind going . Cannot wait to read more!

I very much enjoyed the first person chapters from Jess' point of view, but found the chapters from Emily's perspective a little less engaging. Having said this, I really love the premise for this and the unreliable narrator. Definitely one I'll keep an eye out for in the shops!
