This is only a sampler, which I didn't realize when I requested it. It didn't state anywhere that it was only a sample of the book. I would never have requested it if I had known it wasn't the full book. I didn't read it because I'm not going to buy it to read the full book. I deleted it.

Since this was downloaded as a sample I can’t really give a review but it was a good teaser and would certainly entice me to read the full book.

I have access to the first 38 pages. The description is delightful. The story is captivating. I wished to have access to the full book. I cannot wait for the finished version of the book.

Thank you Netgalley. Fantastic book. A new author for me and I wasn't disappointed. I will definitely read more by Isabel Ashdown.

A good taster. I ended up reading the full book later on.

It looks promising, but it's hard to tell with this sampler. The writing seems fine, but the editing and layout need some work.

This book was SO good! I could not stop reading once I started it! Gripping, great writing, brilliant story, lots of twists. Highly recommend this book and this author as well. Can't wait to finish it! Thanks for the ARC sampler!

Really enjoyed this sampler. I thought the first 3 chapters were really hooking. It opens with a prologue and we meet Jess, who is babysitting her 1-year old niece, Daisy. Shortly after her sister, Emily and her husband have left for a NYE's party, Jess goes to check on Daisy when someone's car flashes outside the house and Jess sees blood. Next thing we know Jess is being questioned by the police: apparently Emily and her husband came home and found Jess passed out on the floor and bleeding. What happened? What is Jess mixed up with?
Through Emily's flashbacks we learn that she only recently met her long-list sister at their parent's funeral. Where has Jess been all these years?
So many questions and I can't wait to read the full book to discover the answers!

I didn't read closely so I didn't realize that this was just a sampler and not a full book.
But just reading the first three chapters is enough. I can't wait to get my hands on this book. I was hooked from the first chapter!

I've read the sample, which left me wanting more. Can't really review as I haven't read the whole book.

Little Sister by Isabel Ashdown was a book I requested as the title had me hooked first, then the synopsis. What would you do if you entrusted the care of your one year old daughter to your sister and something happened to her? That's what happened to Emily. Or was it?

The book raises questions such as how much can we trust our siblings, even as adults and how do we know what's true and what isn't? It had me hooked, but also guessing all the way through and I was hanging on every word. There's so much suspense in this book!

I was sent the sampler which has the first 3 chapters in it by Trapeze Publishers via NetGalley. Thanks to them and to Isabel Ashdown, the author, for this book. The story had me hooked and was very detailled and very well written. I really wanted to read more after I had finished the sampler. I think this will appeal to you whether you are a mother or not. I'm not a mother yet, and I was riveted and scared by this thriller. This sampler was the first book I had read by Isabel Ashdown, and I cannot wait to get the complete novel!

Not my type of book, I tried to start it but just couldn't get into anything about this book!

A 3 chapter sampler book which i found to be quite a good start to this excellent (i think !) thriller.I will certainly purchase this book and if the rest of the book is as good as the first 3 chapters i will be in for an excellent read.

Excellently put together, this is a slow burning thriller that makes for an enthralling an multi-layered read. I hated putting the book down and couldn’t wait to get back to it. I even snuck in some daytime reading, desperate to see what would happen next. It’s well worth a read.
Emily and James have a small child, Daisy, who is left in the care of Emily’s younger sister Jess. It’s New Year’s Eve. The parents come back after their night out to find Daisy missing and that Jess has suffered one of her “episodes” or “fainting thing” – a medical condition that means she can pass out at the drop of a hat.

The police naturally become involved and as they tease apart the case, the family dynamics come under scrutiny. Just as one potential suspect comes to the fore, another is waiting in the wings. The author deftly slides in new pieces of information for the reader to consider, until one person is more clearly in the frame. And then of course the frantic search is on to find little Daisy.

This is a blended family. James was married once before and brings Emily his 15 year old daughter Chloe to his new relationship. Jess left the fold of her first family and has now been brought back in. Emily is quite understandably cracking up under the pressure of her daughter’s disappearance, but there is a hint of mental instability. Jess, the younger sister maybe isn’t all she seems. And Chloe has her own secret which launches into the family like a grenade opening up the possibility of more suspects.

As soon as I saw the synopsis for this book on Goodreads I knew I would have to add it to my TBR shelf. Fancy my surprise when I was browsing through Netgalley today and came across this sneak peak. Based on this sampler alone, I MUST READ THIS BOOK ASAP! Who is speaking in the prologue? What happened to Daisy? There are so many questions that I need answered! Based on the first three chapters, I can already tell that this one will be dark and twisty. Cannot wait to read the book in its entirety.

Just when you start to get into this sampler, you realise that you are on the last page. The good thing about samplers is that it gives you an idea of what the novel is about. The downside is that it can be difficult to rate, as one isn't getting the full story. Based upon what I read, it is a novel that I hope to read in full in the near future.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers. This is my honest review.

My review can be seen on Goodreads and Amazon.

I will definitely be getting myself this book! I'm desperate to find out what happened to baby Daisy. Jess seems an unreliable narrator which I do like when it's a psychological thriller/crime thriller!
