I did not request this book. So I tried to read it and di not enjoy it. If at anytime I change my mind and try again I will send an updated review.

Some divorced their husbands and married other to follow orders. Some stole nuclear secrets, while others gathered intelligence while still raising a family to avoid suspicion. Boyd's book explores what drove these agents to follow such a dangerous career path. For some it was love, others revenge, and for many it was patriotism.

Female agents saved thousands of lives, gathered important intelligence, and helped end disastrous skirmishes. Agente: Female Secret Agents in World Wars, Cold Wars and Civil Wars is a great place to start to read about their contributions.

I thought this was an interesting book. I was hoping for some more information about female agents in the Cold War. I will recommend this title to others.

Agente was very interesting. It is really neat to read about female spies, especially the ones I have never heard of. Douglas Boyd takes the reader on a journey throughout history of the women who put their family and lives on line because of their beliefs. I really liked the chapter of the men who dressed as women. I'm glad I got the chance to read this book.
