So many wonderful recipes to bring back memories of France! I can't wait to try the French take on potato and bacon soup...or turkey with Normandy cream sauce using turkey leftovers!

Review:

There is a simplicity about the book that will appeal to the readers and will definitely motivate them to guve it a try. Being French cuisine, you do expect some of the ingredients or technique to be more elaborate, but that is not the case here. From soups to simple main courses and decadent desserts, even recipe is simple and easy to do, and has been explained very beautifully in a language that is easy to understand and follow. The personal anecdotes behind each recipe does help in giving a personal touch to the whole book.

There are two things that I didn't loke about this book; first would be the fact that there should be more pictures that should be included considering it's a recipe book. Towards the end, some of the recipes don't even have that. Secondly, the cover image is too bland for a book which talks about tasteful and hearty food.

My opinion: Something fun to try on at home if you are bored of the same old food.

My rating: 3 out of 5

There are interesting antidotes and history included with the recipes but with all of the good cookbooks published, there aren't enough outstanding recipes to recommend this one.
