If you read no other book this summer, let it be this one. There were too many laugh-out-loud moments for me to count, and the cast of characters couldn't possibly have been more bizarre. I guarantee this is a book the type of which you've never read before! It's cleverly unique, and funnier (in a black-humor sort of way) than a barrel of monkeys. I guarantee there won't be a single minute of that thousand-yard glaze you get in your eyes with a snail-paced story. High recommendation!

In today's age of hyper serious writing it is a rare writer that can create a something in which the reader can just simply relax and enjoy. Mike Resnick has accomplished this very thing! Voyages belongs on the shelf of everyone who enjoys a relaxing good book that doesn't take itself too seriously and simultaneously reminds the reader of the simple joy of reading.

Voyages by Mike Resnick- A fifth collection of Resnick's humorous Lucifer Jones tales offers an Indiana Jones style hero with a motor-mouth and an active imagination. Lucifer Jones does a first person narration which dives into many different locales and seems like a stream-of-consciousness rendering that can leave you chuckling as you press on. Along the way you run into the big ape King Kong, become a god for the Easter Island natives, and, of course, Moby Duke. This probably isn't for everyone, but it sure is funny and entertaining.
