This was a 3 star read for me...and only because the first half of the book, leading up to these two characters spiraling downward and into rehab was mesmerizing. Like watching a train wreck. The story is about two people, each of who suffered terrible losses, used alcohol and drugs to cope and feel nothingness until...as it always does...it gets out of control and they reach their rock bottom. Both of their stories were moving and relatable to this point.

Then, they end up in same rehab facility...and that's where it hit rock bottom for me. I did not feel or understand their instant connection. There was no push/pull, no real drama, no real angst. It had no depth for me. It was sweet and instant - and the "drama" that they were faced with felt forced and included just to add a little something something.

This also needs a good editing - lots of missed/wrong words, wrong verb tenses - and it seemed to switch tenses, which frustrates the heck out of me and slows me down. Kind of like hitting a bookmark while reading!!

Not sure I enjoyed this one. It was ok. It just didn't grab me like others books do. Loved the cover. Loved the title. I may
reread it again one day
