This is a gem filled with witty conversations, characters you'll want to adopt and a slow-paced romance that'll leave you cheering

*I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

To be perfectly honest I didn't expect all that much from the book because horoscopes? straight-guy-falls-for another-guy? The first is not really something I want a story to build around. The second one I have read so many times in so many good and bad variations that I'm sick and tired of the stereotypical way those types of stories go. But boy did this book not only give me more that I expected it gave me everything and more!

The story sucked me in right from the start. The interactions between them were so natural and funny, they made me want to call my best friend just to talk nonsense with her like Theo and Jamie. Also, before each new chapter there is a quote from the characters that doesn't appear in the actual story and I LOVE THESE QUOTES TO BITS!

"I thought you Aries were supposed to be an impatient, impulsive lot? Because I'm raring to see a throw down, Any of these people will do." Theo to Jamie while waiting in the longest supermarket line ever.

Seriously, this book had the best written conversations I read in a long time, for me it was the heart of the story. It was so refreshing and fun I wouldn't mind reading a whole book of Theo and Jamie just talking shit like that.
Okay, I'll stop declaring my love for the conversations now and get to the actual story.

Theo and Leone both broke up with their partners some time before the start of the story because their exes fell in love with each other. Now they are getting married and invited the twins. Not yet over the break-up, both of them pledge that they'll find dates for each other for the wedding. And when the new room-mate Jamie comes along, Theo is convinced that he's the perfect date for his sister.

Theo is so thick and slow at times I just want to smack some sense into him. This story is a slow burn, mostly because Theo doesn't realise that he likes Jamie, in a I-really-want-to-get-in-your-pants way. Can we all please have a moment of quiet for poor Jamie who has to deal with that idiot?
They had so much chemistry, I was impatiently waiting for the penny to drop for Theo and when it did I was pleasantly surprised.
If you've read a lot of friends-to-lovers stories in which one character is "straight" like I then you've surely come across a lot where that character goes through a bit of a crisis after discovering he has the hots for another guy. I'm really fed up with that and so this book was a refreshing surprise. Theo doesn't give a shit about also being into guys, he's just a bit surprised. Someone on the internet said they think Theo may be pansexual and it sounded plausible so I don't just want to write bisexual in my review.

The only thing I didn't like as much was the way it ended because I don't handle sappy stuff that well, but other than that this story was brilliant. Definietly worth a reread in a few years after I've finished all other books by Anyta Sunday because her writing is fucking gorgeous!

This is the type of book that I wish every book store had. The type of book I would hand deliver as if descending from heaven. I love it.

This book... so silly. It's both heartwarming and a bit odd. The MC was so incredibly oblivious that my SO kept catching me shaking my head with this bemused expression on my face. Theo also seemed quite 'young', even for the setting of this book.. The peripheral characters seemed much more age appropriate to the college 4th year-ish setting. The one thing that stood out to me, though, was the absolute open-mindedness and acceptance that Theo showed Jamie. To read about a male character who didn't have any hang-ups about his sexuality was amazing. His momma raised him right...

Even with the amusing, but frustrating main character, this book was a nice, refreshing, palate-cleanser. If you've just finished something dark and twisty or angsty AF, then give this a try.

This book was so adorable and sweet and happy making. I was giddy the entire time I was reading it! It had none of the typical NA tropes, which I was worried about. The romance was sweet, and slow burning, and incredibly fun to read about. I liked all of the main characters. And, I got to read about a demisexual character for the first time. Even if it was a side character, it made me really happy.

This would be the perfect book to get you out of a reading slump. I can't imagine someone reading this, and not being filled with joy. It's just so incredibly readable, and enjoyable!

Great easy read. A feel good story for so so days. I found it odd that Leo was still in undergrad and had financial aid problems even though he was a straight A student and his twin had no such issues (plus she was in a Master's program!). Anyway, this did not detract from the overall loveliness of the book. Congrats to the author.

*** Disclaimer : Received this book from the publisher via Netgalley***

I read this book as a recommendation from my buddy read partner Michelle as this was one of her first Netgalley requests. When she told me that it was about a pair of Leo twins with an astrology-loving mom that informs them about a new person entering their lives and making a lasting impression on them that could possibly lead to more, I was there to read it. I’m totally into astrology and so a romance about a Leo finding his Aires had me at hello.

I immediately went to request this book and once I had it I started reading it with a vengeance. I did love the writing and the cute quotes before each new chapter but the main reason that this book got a 4 star rating was because it was such a slow burn romance. At the 50% mark you can see in my status updates that I had stopped the book for nearly a month because I wasn’t even sure my MC’s were going to get together by the end. I think thats too long for someone to wonder that in my opinion.

The book literally took off for me at the 59% mark. Yes, I can be that specific because that is exactly when things were actually happening and our MC’s were finally making moves and decisions. I was relieved to see things progress forward. I experienced the same relief I get once I get out of those roundabouts on the road after making a 2nd or 3rd lap. Every romantic scene after the 59% mark was beautiful and touching. I really felt that they belonged to each other and those moments made the whole book for me.

If you love slow burns, this book is made for you. It draws that sexual tension out for a while. I am a bit more impatient so I needed to get there faster but once you get there, it is totally worth it. Thanks Michelle for the recommendation and thanks Netgalley for letting me review it .

Have fun reading 🙂

I'm not a believer in horoscopes but that didn't matter; I loved this slow burn, fun, witty, gfy, ftl, romance.

The two MCs Theo and Jamie were adorable and surrounded by a great group of side characters.

This a feel good book which has you laughing and smiling all the way through.

This is one of the most cute little romance I have read in a long time. I love the quote of the day. Theo is clueless during the whole book that Jamie is in love with him. But when he figures it out he make it up the Jamie.

Jamie and Theo have a history. One where Theo annoys the heck out of Jamie. Then they become roommates. What kind of a future could they have?

Theo and his sister were given a horoscope by their mom. She believes, but usually they do not. Now, it seems they may have to take it more seriously. Theo has found that Jamie makes him feel all tingly.

This book was a happy surprise. With lots of humor, heat, and even some fun. I thought both lead characters brought a lot to the table. I devoured each page with joy. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

I found this story unputdownable. Theo, and his twin sister, Leone, are living together and still dealing with the betrayal of their exes who fell in love with each other. At the start the twins vow to find each other a date for the wedding of their exes. This is where Jamie enters. He was Theo's economics professor and is looking for a room. Theo starts to think he's the perfect guy for Leone but Jamie is gay and everyone but Theo can see that Jamie is gay and in love with Theo

This was a very sweet story, and I enjoyed the interactions between the two main characters. I could have done with a slight bit more depth on some occasions as I felt scenes were a bit short, but otherwise I really liked it!

This story is so damn cute and the plot is very refreshing. This is the first time I read about a straight guy not knowingly attracted to his new best friend and even intending to set him up with his twin sister.

Theo recently got dump by his girlfriend for his twin sister's boyfriend. Sounds so convoluted, if you ask me. While Theo and his visually impaired sister are licking their wounds, they found themselves a special Aries that entered into their life in the form of Mr. Jamie Cooper.

Jamie is the type of man every woman and man wanted as their husband. He is mature, dependable, kind and simply wonderful. He used to be Theo's tutor and now in his quest to score an A for Econ, Theo lured Jamie to be his new roommate.

Theo and Jamie have a great platonic, but flirty relationship with Theo trying to annoy Jamie at every turn with his laziness and overall nuisance. Although Theo is suppose to be straight here, I can see he is a bit bend with the way he unknowingly flirts with Jamie, while trying to set Jamie up with his sister.

Although this story is told entirely in Theo's POV, which is funny to boot, we also get to understand what is hiding behind Jamie's perfect facade through the little hint here and there. I love the slow burn aspect of their romance from friendship to eventual lovers. The way Theo was so possessive and protective towards Jamie is awe inducing. It took a long time for Theo to realize their connection is something deeper than just best friend. But the journey is definitely enjoyable and hilarious.

5+ 'JLM' stars!

“The worst thing I've done on a date? Ask who her favorite serial killer is. Under a bridge. In the dark.”

Reading is my drug of choice. Leo Loves Aries is the reason why. I saw one of my Goodreads friends read it, so when I saw the blurb, I knew I had to get it and read asap. It turned out to be one of the best books I've read this year.

Leonne, Jamie, and Theo. *Sigh*. I loved Leonne for being independent and strong despite everything that's happened to her. I loved Jamie and Theo for their fantastic banter, jealousy, quirky humor. This book captivated me in ways many don't. I honestly felt like having butterflies in my stomach most of the time.

“What's your favorite book, and please don't let it be Catcher in the Rye."
"Why the hell not?" Theo asked.
"Because that will mean you haven't picked up a book of your own accord since high school.”

Now this is a slow burn and I did not care about that one bit just because the rest of the story was even better. The friendship between the two is what I want. How they missed each other, the way they were so comfortable. The chemistry was all there and I loved the way Jamie took care of Leonne at time. Totally swooning here!

I cannot recommend this book enough. I never say this, but if I ever went back to re-read a book (which I have never done), it would totally be this one.

This was such a sweet story! I loved everything about it: funny, slow burn, very romantic and GFY!

I read this book right after True Colors and I must admit I was not expecting this one to be SO much lighter and well SO sweet. The angst was at minimum and the dialogues between the MC made me chuckle so many times.

Theo - the Leo - is still recovering after his 2 year girlfriend dumped him to be with his sister's boyfriend. Theo and Leone are twins, living together and trying to move on. They realized they need another roommate, and so Theo in need for a tutor, went hunting down his ex-tutor to become their new roommate.

Jamie is an Aries. He's sure of himself, smart, patient, always right and very kind (well, I'm an Aries too, so I could add here a lot of other qualities. LOL. I'm joking, of course).

Being a book by Anyta Sunday, I expected the slow burn. And was not disappointed. The author focused on building their strong friendship first and what a funny and natural friendship these two had. I adored their change of messages. They're so honest and sweet.
This book really warmed my heart.

It was a pleasure reading Theo and Jamie's story. I found myself late at night with the need of reading more, because I couldn't let them go. I was hooked and I really enjoyed the development of the characters. Theo discovered more about himself and Jamie, well he is a cutie with a heart of gold and the patience of a saint.

Besides Theo and Jamie, I fell for Lenore and Sean too. At first I was 100% sure Sean was Jamie's ex so I disliked him on Theo's behalf. Then I learned to like them more and more.

A copy was kindly provided by the author, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

This is just adorable.I've had it on my Kindle for a while but it wasn't until I saw a friend's status update that I decided to read it and once I started it,I couldn't put it down.
Theo....what can I say,I just loved that boy....completely clueless in the most endearing way.

Theo and his twin sister,Leone, are star signs Leo.They've both been hurt in love and set about trying to get each other dates for the upcoming wedding of both their ex's.Their mother is into horoscopes in a big way and is constantly giving them predictions about the future.

Jamie's star sign is Aries. He's an ex tutor of Theo.Theo and Leone are looking for a roommate,Jamie is looking for a new place so it's the perfect arrangement right?

This book captivated me....

I loved

The banter between Theo and Jamie was just brilliant.

I loved

Their chemistry and interactions....
Jamie being so awkward ice skating,
Their trips for food shopping,
Jamie for taking care of Theo, without him even realizing it,
The,not so subtle, innuendos that Jamie kept throwing about,
Leone for being a strong, independent women,

Theo starts off seeing Jamie as a really good friend....over time,a best friend. He misses him when he's not around but he's straight so gets confused when he starts to feel an attraction to him and jealous of other people getting close to him.

The jealousy....I LOVED it.

Jamie getting jealous over Theo dating,
Theo getting jealous over Jamie's best friend,

Yes,it's a slow burn and not overly graphic as regards sex scenes but it totally worked for me....
I'm still swooning.

Highly Recommended

I’m so glad, I’ve found this book.
Adorably clueless Theo and sweet caring organized Jamie touched and warmed my heart ♡♡♡

“And if I can’t swim?”
“I’ll swim for the both of us.”

I needed a few pages go get into the story, maybe because lately I mostly read 1st person dual pov books and “Leo loves Aries” is told in 3rd person, but then I didn’t want to put it down.
A wonderful friends-to-lovers-story with not too much drama, a little heartbreak, great banter and so much love ♡
The writing was fluid, steady paced and enthralling and I loved the quotes at the beginning of every chapter.

There’s a free novella

can’t wait to meet Leo and Aries again, and I’m looking forward to book#2

I gave this book a try because I like a good LGBTQIA book, but there was something about this book, that didn't allow me to get into it. I tried reading it 3 times, because I thought, maybe I'm just not in the mood for a book from that genre. But that wasn't the problem, all the other LGBTQIA books I've read over the last couple of weeks worked fine for me..
As it is, I'm going to dnf this book and will say this is probably a case of "it's me and not the book that's the problem". So if this sounds like something, you would like, give it a try.
Sorry! Really liked the synopsis though.

This is my first time with this author but I really enjoyed and appreciate this book. It reminds me the classic american romantic comedies and I love them!
The chemistry between Theo and Jamie is palpable since the first message.
I love also the journey that Theo makes to understand his feelings and gets through his fears.
A sweet and fresh story that makes you smile to the last page ^_^
