Wow, I really liked this book and I'm somewhat stymied to figure out exactly HOW that happened. It took me a while to really get into this story, and I think that Anyta Sunday's writing style takes a while to totally suck you into the story, but once I was ..... um, "sucked" .... I LOVED the story and hated for it to end.

The dynamic between Theo and Jaime takes a long time to set-up and their romance is definitely very slow-burn, but the payoff when we finally get there is SO very worth it. There's a texture to their love story that is so beautifully woven together and the emotional impact is really very touching.

The secondary characters were all well fleshed-out but didn't distract from Theo and Jaime's story. This was my first Anyta Sunday book, but definitely won't be my last!

Such as good book! Different from other things I've read.

The author describes Leo Loves Aries as a "sweet, slow burn, M/M romance with HEA" and I couldn't agree more – I loved it. This was the first book I've read by Anyta Sunday but I hope to read more soon.

Before I read the book, the title puzzled me just a bit but then I started reading and realized it referred to astrological signs and I found the little references to that throughout the story to be quite clever.

When Theo Wallace and his sister, Leone, take Jamie Cooper on as a roommate Theo thinks he might be the perfect match for his sister. It takes Theo a really long time to catch on that Jamie is interested in him, not Leone.

This book made me smile and also shed a few tears which is just the type of story that I really like. This one also has several of my favorite M/M tropes: GFY, college students and friends-to-lovers.

This was a feel-good story for me. It was also a bit unusual for an M/M romance in that the first kiss didn't happen until 59% of the way through and the first sex didn't happen until 69%. Once they finally get together things are pretty spicy. Jamie is an absolute dream of a boyfriend; he takes such good care of Theo both as a friend before they become involved and later as a lover. He also helps Theo overcome one of his biggest fears.

Don't miss the fantastic follow-up short story, Leo Tops Aries, currently available for free on Amazon.com.

A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book.

Brother and sister get dumped by their respective others who decide they are in love. They spend the college semester trying to break away from their feelings of loss and move on. One person walks into their life and creates a chain of change and new beginnings.

This was a cute, fluffy romance that made me laugh and smile. Theo was such a gas, and the banter (ie flirting) between him and Jamie was hilarious. This was a sweet sort of slow burn - heavy on the friendship, and light (almost non-existent) on the sexual tension until much later. It was a fun, light read that still managed to tug on my heartstrings, and the focus on their friendship was really unexpectedly nice. I also loved Theo's twin sister Leone who gave as good as she got and omg I was a bit terrified of how kooky their mother was (she was great, though, just enough OTT for me without going overboard).

My only complaint about the book is that the Kiwi and Aussie slang kept yanking me out of scenes. The characters were all Americans and living and studying in the American Midwest but using words like grundies, mince (for ground meat) and singlets. I had to drop my own usage of these words (and so much more) when I moved here, so it was definitely something that caught my attention every time a "non Americanism" popped up.

Still, I really enjoyed the book! Highly recommended if you're in the mood for something cute but really meaningful.

Protagonist/s: 4/5
Love Interest/s: 4/5
World Building: 4/5
Plot: 3/5

Overall score 15/20 which is 4 stars.fact that he has a thing for the guys as well as the ladies now

I got through this book in one day it was so enjoyable. Theo might have been more than a little clueless but it was a very enjoyable book. I'll say now that I don't think he could consider himself straight anymore and I hope he'll accept the fact he likes the guys as well as the ladies.

The book was very cute, very funny and the smut was kept to the minimum as I prefer. I loved Leone, Sean, Ben and Kyleas well, they were all just such awesome characters and friends. Jamie might not have been my type of guy but he was still the perfect guy for Theo.

Great book with a great cover.

This was really good, I was so pleasantly surprised by it all. A real 5* kinda novel. It carried itself throughout with humour, chemistry and interesting MC's. The two main MC's are compelling and it was nice to have the Main character ( Theo) never quite identify what spectrum he is- Demi-Pan or just Bi. It's nice for an author to not have to feel labels are the most important thing for a reader to have to have.

Speaking of the author, I haven't read anything from her before but I will keep my eye on reading future things. Great novel which I look forward to reading more in the series off!

Really cute and sweet, lots of funny bits too. Crossed wires, blindness (literal and metaphorical), and a lovely ending. Perfect "chick lit" although it's about 2 guys rather than a guy and a girl...

I LOVED this book!

This is my first book by Anyta Sunday but once I've finished writing this review I'm off to find out what else she's written and get it. I love books where I fall for the characters, and that have lots of fun banter and humor and this book hit the mark on all of those!

The main character Theo and his twin sister, Leone, are roommates who are trying to get over their exes. Theo and Leone's significant others fell in love with each other and left both Theo and Leone with broken hearts. When they get invited to the wedding the two decide that they need to move on and will have dates for the wedding. Running parallel to this is the need for them to find a new roommate. When Theo is having a discussion with a past tutor he discovers the perfect roommate for the two of them.

Theo is a bit clueless when it comes to Jamie and what he's really feeling for him. The slow burn of the two becoming friends and then slowly moving to lovers was perfect! The banter between Theo and Jamie was adorable, funny and extremely entertaining. Theo has gotten it into his head that Jamie would be perfect for his sister and doesn't understand the "pang" he gets when he thinks about the two of them together. One of my favorite scenes was the date that Theo has with his sister's friend Liz. Theo invites Jamie and Leone thinking that he can "jump start" the relationship between the two. The date goes completely different then intended and it's really more of an unusual but fun date for Theo and Jamie.

I fell hard for Theo and Jamie. They were perfect together and so fun! They had great chemistry and the build up had me anticipating Theo's ah-ha moment. The book had some steam and a sweet HEA!

This was a fun, humorous and sweet M/M story that I highly recommend!

Theo was happy with his relationship with his girlfriend, Sam, until she went and fell in love with his twin sister’s boyfriend, Derek. Now, Sam and Derek are getting married and Theo and his sister, Leone, are invited to the wedding. They set a challenge for themselves to not only go to the wedding, but to find themselves the perfect dates. Their mother is the family’s unofficial astrologer, and with both of them being the same star sign, she keeps close tabs on their daily, as well as long-term, horoscopes and is thrilled to tell both of them that, “A new person will enter your life in the early year, Leo. Look past any moments of frustration they might bring and laugh—this could be the start of a thriving friendship.”
Theo usually looks quickly past all of this horoscope business, but since he doesn’t have many friends, a lasting friendship is just what he needs. Their mother also informs them that an Aries would be a perfect match for each of them. Enter, Jamie Cooper, Theo’s former economics tutor and new roommate, who just happens to be an Aries. Theo thinks Jamie could be the perfect match for Leone, but Theo grows to depend on Jamie’s friendship and may not want to share.
If you have read some of Anyta Sunday’s work, you will quickly realize that this book carries much of her signature mark. This one has roommates who become friends, who then become more. This book is told through the point of view of Theo, who is fairly clueless, although at times endearingly so.
When the book opens we see that Theo loves his sister, who is visually impaired, and looks out for her. Their mother enters the picture as she constantly provides them with their current horoscope in hopes of guiding them toward their next move. The two of them are making a concentrated effort to move on after being dumped, but it’s not so easy. Theo had been with his ex girlfriend for a few years and he just though they would always be together. Yet, Theo doesn’t consider himself an emotional person and all of his intimate moments had been simply about release and not emotion.
When Theo first met Jamie in Econ class, Theo made an impression all right, just perhaps not the best one. The two didn’t get off to the best start, yet they become the best of friends while living under the same roof. Theo’s mission is to find his sister a new man and a date for the wedding and if he can find himself a best friend in the process, that’s certainly an added bonus. But, as he and Jamie grow closer, Theo has a hard time sharing.
Sunday offers clues to highlight the guys’ feelings and since we didn’t get Jamie’s POV, this was helpful as reactions are offered as hints to reveal how Jamie feels. But this style also had me somewhat removed from the story. Theo never clues in that Jamie is gay and then when their attraction is brought to light, Theo states that while he’s open to exploring things physically with Jamie and being with a man for the first time, he’s clear that he doesn’t think he could ever fall in love with a man. Yet that’s exactly what he does. On one hand, Sunday makes it incredibly easy for Theo to just be with Jamie, but on the other hand I was looking for a little more exploration and depth in several areas as it was presented.
The dialogue and banter between the guys was entertaining as they constantly attempt to one up each other. But, the story takes place in the United States, between Pittsburgh and the Mid-West, and not all of the words and phrases the guys used were American, which kept pulling me out of the story.
As a bonus, when you come to the end of the book and are looking for a bit more, the author has a free erotic short available, Leo Tops Aries, that delivers exactly what the name implies. While some areas were a little slow and lacking in depth for me, Leo Loves Aries would be a good choice for a low angst, slow burn story of two guys becoming roommates, becoming friends, and becoming lovers.

Fabulous festive treat

The reviews for this from my Goodreads friends have almost universally been not only positive, but high scoring and now, having read it, I'm adding my own glowing praise.

This book is simply fabulous. It has everything I want to read in a romance story, two lovely, well developed main characters and a whole host of fully fleshed out supporting cast.
It has lots of humour, a tiny bit of snark, a lot of loving and plenty of emotions and it has salad sandwiches, the power of which should never be underestimated.

Do yourself a favour and pick it up, it's also a Kindle Unlimited read.

4.5 Wow! This was a happy surprise. With romance, like many other genres, you have to slog through a swamp of carbon copy characters, plots, and settings to find a gem. Books like Leo Loves Aries make it worth the effort. While the smexy scenes could have been more passionate, the characters themselves were brilliant, quirky, and unique. The dialogue is where this book really shines and that is what makes or breaks a book for me. I am looking forward to reading other books by this author. My copy was provided by Netgalley.

The way this relationship developed is exactly what I’m looking for when I read a romance book. It was very realistic and slow-burn is something that I always love to read.

Theo was adorable, I loved him so much, a very charismatic main character, I can see any reader easily falling in love with him. Jamie was the same, very charming and sweet. Their interactions felt natural, it was a joy to read the scenes between them. Sometimes I got a little bother by how oblivious Theo was, but I guess that was part of the charm.
The secondary characters were also very nice, entertaining and relevant. I loved the moms, both so lovely. The plot was cute and the writing very good. It was a great story.

The only issue I have about the story as well as the main characters is that it might have been a little too perfect, there was hardly a conflict. Even if for me that was a problem, I think most readers would appreciate a free of angst story, full of funny moments and adorable characters. After reading this book, I’m definitely invited to keep reading books from the author.

4,5 stars

I couldn't put this book down, it was just too good to stop reading. A swoony romance, snarky banter and a slow burn romance to die for.

The main characters were so easy to love. I loved the friendship between Theo and Jamie and how that slowly turned into something more, how Theo slowly realizes that he's attracted to Jamie and that it's not just a fling, and how Theo gets under Jamie's skin. Their chats were funny and I liked that Theo left written quotes from Jamie on various places, that is super sweet.
I also liked the relationship between the siblings Theo and Leone, it was sweet how they both are protective ofeach other and how attuned they are to each other.

At the beginning of each chapter was a quote from one of the three house mates, they were very funny and I love them to bits. There's also the aspect of horoscopes in this story and while I don't believe in them, they fit to the story and characters.

This is a slow burning, kind of clueless MC, M/M romance novel. The first one I've ever read. It's a cute story with a HEA ending, which I love. I can't stand sad endings, it leaves me feeling very off and sometimes puts me into a reading slump. So I'm happy this was not one of those sad ending books. There is sexual content in this book so if you don't like that kind of thing or are too young, I would pass on this book. Those that don't mind that kind of thing, welcome to my world.

Theo is a sweet guy who really loves his sister. They are close, probably has something to do with them being twins. They have decided it's time to get over their exes. (Exes who dumped them and got with each other. Yeah, messed up stuff). So they are getting over their exes and then going to their exes wedding with their new dates. Sounds pretty easy right? Yeah not so much.

Theo is straight but when they get a new roommate... Theo thinks he's finally found a best friend (that sucks his fingers...) until Jamie, the roommate, kisses Theo and tells him he's gay and he likes him... This truly is a slow burner. I found myself hoping every cute little moment they had would finally end in them being together but nope! Theo was far too clueless and I felt so bad for Jamie... getting so many mixed signals. He's such a sweetie and takes such good care of of Theo and his sister.

This is such a cute novel and that anyone who is into this kind of thing, will love it! Thanks to NetGalley for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review.

Usually, I don't belive in astrology and horoscope, but it's fun and interesting sometimes to see what might happen based on your sign and ascendant.
I have passed by this book in my list of recommendations a few times and never got the chance (or mood, I think) to pick it up, but now I'm glad that I did.
This book is about Theo, a Leo, that doesn't belive in the horoscope his mom sends, and when said horoscope says "A new person will enter your life in the early year, Leo. Look past any moments of frustration they might bring and laugh—this could be the start of a thriving friendship." he starts to laugh.
Theo and his twin sister, Leona, are looking for two things:
1. A date, for each other, for a spring wedding, and
2. A roommate.
Said roommate came in the person of Jamie Cooper, Theo's ex economics tutor (who "made them eat vegetables. Actual vegetables", how dare he!).
Our darling and clueless Theo is too busy finding a date for his sister and he's oblivious at what is right in front of him. Beware Theo, the start have something prepared for you!

I really liked this book and the way it was written. I made me laugh, it made my cry at some point, and it made me swoon at the romance in it.
I really appreciated the fact that before each chapter there was a quote, like : "Stop trying to clean up the past, Theo. Focus on sweeping a path for the future." (Leone to Theo at New Year's Eve) or a funny one, "Rabbits should attack you like they once did Napoleon" ( Leone to Theo during a fight).

Overall I think it was a good book and I really recommend it.

Even though I do support the lgbt+ community this book really bored me and the all process till chapter 6 was a real pain is the a$$. The proze is like a shopping list and at every single line;'' Leone did that, Theo responded said, think all the page Theo....'' I really do hate it when an author asumes that his audience has the intelligence of traumatized dog and feel the need to put the character's name every single time. And a lot of useless details described, which in my opinion didn't serve the development of the plot. In any case... this kind it's not for me. Sorry.

Review posted on Goodreads Amazon and V's Reads: http://wp.me/p3AKEA-244

Theo and Leone are fraternal twins who are attending college in Pittsburgh, PA. They share their old family home now that their parents have relocated to Minnesota. This makes it easy for Leone to live virtually unassisted--she's been legally blind since her late teens. They also share a mutual heartbreak. Leone had dated Derek and Theo had dated Sam(antha) for each about two years. But, a year ago, Sam and Derek broke up with each of them, and began dating each other. And, the wedding announcements are out.

Vowing to not be sad sacks, Leone and Theo decide to find each other a hot date with whom to attend the June nuptials. In the meantime, they need to find a new roomie, to offset their costs. And, Theo's former econ tutor--Jamie--seems to be a perfect match. Jamie is a little older, a master's student in economics, Theo's chosen filed of study. Theo had been a bit of a jerk at the beginning of their mutual coursework, but they settled into a rapport before term's end. Now, Theo's jazzed that Jamie might help him ace his applied economics class. He'd actually sought out Jamie for tutoring, and the roommate thing just happened.

Jamie gets along so well with Leone--and their mother, a horoscope and divination fanatic, has advised her Leo children that their perfect love match would come with an Aries--which is Jamie's sign. As they all build camaraderie, Theo's sure that Jamie and Leone would have a great chance with each other. And, Theo--who's felt isolated because he believes his mutual friends with Sam have deserted him--is grateful for the deep bond he and Jamie are building. They discuss economics, and Jamie insists on getting both Leone and Theo to eat healthy meals he cooks for them, and they just fit. Which is why it irks Theo that he's a wee bit jealous of his sister getting the best of his best friend, ever. Not that any of that has been happening. Theo just imagines it's a foregone conclusion.

Thing is, neither Leone nor Jamie got this memo. And Jamie goes a mite colder when Theo talks about going out on the blind date Leone has set up. It's a sweet and slow burn with just enough bread crumbs for readers to recognize that Jamie and Theo aren't on different pages--their reading different books. Jamie makes it clear that not only is he gay, but that he quite fancies Theo. And Theo's...not averse. Well, Jamie is an attractive, fit, well-put-together man. And, he cares quite a lot for Theo. As a friend. Maybe experimenting wouldn't be a bad idea? Oh, Theo! I wanted to shake him half a dozen times. He's really a great, clueless guy, but their developing relationship is really tender and sweet, and he makes it all great with some gestures that aren't exactly grand, but do mean an awful lot to smitten Jamie.

The book reads very cleanly, but I certainly heard the undertones of British-English author. It caught me off guard more than three times. That said, I really liked the story. Expect a horny adventurer, a sparkling HEA and two guys to find their soulmates were written in the stars.

This is one of my favourite books of 2016. It is a lovely slow-build romance with plenty of UST. It’s a friends to lovers story with a difference. The stars had forecast that Theo and his twin sister (both Leos) would find love in the near future and their new roommate seems to be the ideal candidate. Theo assumes Jamie will be the perfect match for Leone, but as the two men spend time together and become friends, Theo struggles with the idea of this love match. Even with the strange feelings he’s experiencing, he’s oblivious to the fact that he is falling for Jamie and, even after they finally kiss and make out, it takes him a while to realize what he’s feeling is love.

There’s so much I like about this story. The writing is compelling and the characters are well developed and likeable. There are numerous times when Jamie and Theo share special heart-melting moments—touches, looks, and conversations. They banter and cajole and act as more than best friends, texting and leaving messages for each other. They also suffer pangs of jealousy when other people appear to come between them.
