I read this book in half a day and when I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. Holy smokes. Yes it follows a fluffy trope and has a much easier "coming out" story that 90% of LGBTQ.. But i can't help it I love it! Pretty positive that I need to find a Jamie and have him be my best friend in real life.

Pros:
- All around good story, fast pace, not too much detail but enough backstory to make it so you aren't lost.
- Witty banter and mixed media contact (text messages and emails) so much of a yes for me!
-Jamie and Leone's instabond was heartwarming
- Drunk Theo= fantastic. The way he was written made me really laugh out loud.
- Rugrats.. Swoon and heart melting

Cons:
- Really only one, besides the fact or me wanting so much more of the story.. The phrase of "waffling eyebrows". I did notice it used three or four times in this book which is maybe ok, but there was another series that I read, Calendar Girls, where the author literally put that phrase every chapter. I just have a bad taste in my mouth from it.

Best quote- "I swim for both of us"

I was totally absorbed in this book from the start to finish, it held me and just never let go. For a romance to do that for me that is amazing!

Theo the Leo starts off in such a rut, pining over his ex-girlfriend Sam who left him for his sister’s boyfriend, the positive growth Leo goes through in this book is phenomenal and a new roommate is a significant factor in this transformation.

My favourite character in this novel however has to be Leone, she is registered blind, her boyfriend has left her for another girl but she is the most positive person ever, never complaining once throughout the story. She is funny and has such a close relationship with her brother Theo.

The romance in this is realistic and definitely a slow burn, as a reader you can see it happen but one side of the couple is definitely a bit clueless about it, I think that added an extra layer of cute to the story.
I loved the book and can’t wait to read more from this series!

This is only the 2nd book by Anyta Sunday that I've had the privilege to read. I do own a few other books by her, I just haven't read them yet. This book right here, Leo Loves Aries, is proof I need to get busy reading those books! Anyta is such a brilliant writer, it's unbelievable how clever her writing is.

Theo is such a cutie pie!!! He's like an ADHD cat - constantly moving and talking, and he LOVES to cuddle. ;) Now, I've said this in other reviews about characters who are "straight" and yet have no issue with flirting with another man (regardless of their orientation), or "cuddling." Where can I meet a man like that? Clearly I am meeting the wrong people because I know of NO MAN who would willingly put their feet in another man's lap, and let said man remove their sock and tickle their feet. I found this part of the story between Theo and Jamie to be super cute and giggly, and I DIDN'T MIND IT!!!! I wanted more; I wanted to see them really get silly. And when Theo put his peanut butter covered finger in Jamie's mouth? HELLO!!!! :-D

Theo and Leone are twin siblings. Leone is Theo's twin sister who suffers from a sort of ocular disease which has severely limited her eye sight. They are both in college and looking for a roommate. Jamie is the perfect roommate, and also a potential date for Leone to an ex's upcoming wedding. Yeah, it's complicated. Theo's ex-girlfriend and Leone's ex-boyfriend fell in love and are getting married. Theo and Leone have decided to get over their ex's and find dates for each other to take to the wedding.

A lot of hilarity ensues between Jamie and Theo as Theo tries to set up his sister and friend. Watching Theo be possessive of his "best friend" Jamie is hilarious. He's never had a friend like Jamie and he doesn't want to do anything to spoil it. But when Jamie kisses Theo, Theo's eyes are opened to possibilities. This was such a sweet story about these cute men who are clearly unable to just talk about what they are feeling.

I highly recommend this story. It's cute, sweet, fun and made me laugh. There is no angst and the drama is negligible. This story will definitely put you in a good mood. Now I am off to mark the rest of my Anyta Sunday books as "must read NOW!", LOL.

P.S. Really would have loved to have Jamie's POV. Theo was cute and adorable, but I really think hearing from Jamie (after they kissed the first time) would have been all the sweeter. :)

I love it when an author rocks a trope and then owns it. Anyta Sunday is the star of slow burn. She knows how to delay gratification and deliberately teases until you are ready to burst. By the time you think the flames are just beginning to lick, *blink* you are surrounded by an inferno. I’m not sure your take on it, but it’s a skill I admire.

Theo and his twin sister, Leone are in need of a new roommate. Leone is blind and Theo demands nothing but the best when it comes to his sister. The lucky new roomie must be neat and considerate to his sister’s…limitations. Most of all, he wants to ensure she doesn’t lose her sense of independence. Their mother is a fortune-teller and her world revolves around astrological forecasts. She warns her Leo’s their axis is about to tip but Theo is not convinced his destiny is written in the stars. Silly boy…mothers are always right.

What's to Like:
Anyta’s book are always a lot of fun and filled with great humor. I’m animated when I read her books; I smirk, chuckle and wiggle in anticipation. It’s like a rollercoaster ride. The impatience of the thrill builds and builds and then suddenly I’m holding my breath. It’s exciting! I love her style and she’s quickly become a one-click author for me. If you’re not acquainted with her work, this is a superb place to start.

What's to Love:
I loved Theo. I loved Jamie. But I LOVED Theo and Jamie together most of all. They are so cheeky and bicker *ahem..flirt…* like nobody’s business. Theo is completely oblivious when it comes to Jamie, but I found it adorable instead of maddening. However, I’m not sure Jamie would agree with me. Theo is persistent and lucky for him, Jamie is patient. Oh my gracious, is he ever patient. I loved their protectiveness and their jealousy. I loved their quirky games and constant challenges. I found the secondary cast to be extremely strong and solid. I just….loved it.

AND! Don’t forget the short story, Leo Tops Aries *squeee* SO good!

Beware of:
The astrological influence is strong but not oppressive, you don’t have to be a believer yourself but be prepared for those that are. And instalove does not exist in Anyta’s vocabulary. It may be slow, but it’s clear there is only one ending…and ohmyshit what an ending it is!!

This Book is For:
New Age or Young Adult readers looking for an amazing love story told by the stars, those in the sky and a certain Sunday star.

This one was cute and sweet. It's impossible not to love these characters. They are perfect and extremely well-adjusted, open-minded young people.

The angst in the story is mostly alluded to with very little on-page. So, if your looking for an easy, make-me-smile book, this one should do the trick.

This book had a bit of a slow start but once I got past the first few chapters, man was it good.

Although I must say that Theo was a bit oblivious to Jamie. Most of the time I don’t read the blurb of a book if its an author I know and love so I had no idea what this was about when I started reading it. But I pegged Jamie pretty quick as gay. For Theo not to notice the flirtation and innuendo was a bit naive of him. I did love how he had no idea what his feelings meant though. That part was adorable to witness and experience. And Theo was not afraid to show his feelings to Jamie in public. There was no miscommunication or phobia to get in the way of a great friendship/romance.

The JLM shirt was a nice twist to the story. There were a lot of little moments that I enjoyed having with them. The skating for instance was hawt! And it really showed the reader much Theo cared. Even if he didn’t realize it yet. How could something so simple as cooking a meal for someone become such a pivital part of their story? It just boggles the mind how AS can write it that way.

I must say I loved how Theo and Leones’ sibling relationship was written. Her blindness was a non-issue but it was nice to see the contrasting aspects of their lives together. She was funny, devoted to her family and determined in her chosen career choice. I really liked how close they were and how they fully supported each other even if one of them was wrong. He read to her for book club when the audio book wasn’t available. I was touched by that action on his part for some reason. I’m not sure I would read a whole book aloud to one of my siblings. Man, I may be an asshole…..

Another win for me. I have yet to find one from her that isn’t. And before you get on me for my reading challenge to not start anymore series, I would like to point out that I started this book last year so it doesn’t count.

Have you ever watched or read something that left you in a complete hangover? The type of show/book that you need because an instant favorite of yours? It’s happened to me with a few shows/movies/books and there’s always this type of nostalgia. Yeah, that’s the only word I have for it—nostalgia. It’s this feeling in the pit of my stomach, and which I know I’ll never be the same, as cliche as that sounds.

I’d just finished watching Skam for the second time, and I did this back-to-back binge with it. And the thing is that Anyta Sunday’s Rock is a favorite of mine, and so I was absolutely stocked about Leo Loves Aries, but something kept me apprehensive. Little thing called Expectations. Except I should have had them, because it surpassed all of them.

Twins, Theo and Leone, had the worst year. Think about your girlfriend and boyfriend, respectively, breaking up with you only to start dating each other and then getting engaged, and sending you their invite. I mean, they do have to thank you for basically introducing them to each other….yikes. Well, that’s exactly what happens to Theo and Leone. With a perfectly timed Astrology newsletter from their mother, Leone and Theo are ready to move on, and ready to find dates for their ex’s wedding.

The catch is that Leone will find Theo’s date, and Theo will find Leone’s. And when their search for a new flatmate leads to the perfect roommate—a tutor for Theo and a date for Leone, well it couldn’t have been a more perfect match, a kind of written in the stars match *wink*

From the beginning Jamie and Theo are not only a riot to read, but the flirting is almost too good. Which is not a thing that is possible, because one you have a taste of this two together, you can’t see how Theo doesn’t realize sooner, and you almost wish he wouldn’t because the slow-burn is soooo good!

That feeling of nostalgia wouldn’t leave me alone, and I halfway through the novel I wanted to reread it. Theo’s love for his sister shines in his want to find the perfect date for Leone. He’s not only smart, but he’s genuinely funny, and sweet. His desire to find a best friend was literally the sweetest, and when he get’s jealous of Jamie’s childhood friend, and best friend, it’s so hilarious.

This was one of my most memorable *wink* (you’ll have to read to find out about this memorable memorable moment and word) reads of 2016, and I’m sure it’ll be 2017 favorite because I’m already planning a reread. Immediately after finishing it, I wanted to convince Sunday to write a sequel. Which! She will write a second book in the series, although with different pairing, but if it’s anything like the first I’m sure I’ll love it. Seeing as how they’ll have astrology as a concept and with Theo’s mother newsletter it will be perfect.

I’m not one for living my life according to astrology, but if I could get my hands on that newsletter, uhm… I would be a firm believer. Especially, if I had those predictions. Anyway, as for Leo Tops Aries—it was one of my most favorite christmas presents! I’ll definitely share this gift with everyone so they could enjoy Theo and Jamie. Go read it and fall for this two, and for astrology, and for the quotes of the days!

Also, since I’m in the feeling of recommending go and watch Skam!

A completely beautiful and tender love story with very likable and well-developed characters and a truly HEA. Leo is a wonderful brother to his legally blind sister and a very motivated student but a bit of a knucklehead, nontheless. Both he and his sister recently lost relationships with fairly long time partners and worst of all, they left to be with each other. Now Leo is faced with trying to finance the rest of his education as well as get over his love of his ex girlfriend Samantha, "Sam". One thing at a time. He and his sister are interviewing for a new roommate to share expenses. His sister Leone, a bit older and working on a graduate degree is missing her ex, Derek. One thing at a time. He and his sister are interviewing for a new roommate to share expenses. The dilemma, or one of many facing them, is who to bring with them to Sam and Derek's wedding because to miss the event seems too much like self-pity.
Their mom is a hippie who is an avid astrologist who sends them their horoscope and calls frequently to remind them of the position and expected effect of their astrological sign. Leo and Leone are twins and born under Leo. How appropos!
Leo needs help with his Applied Economics course and tried to get assistance from the prior semester's TA. It would have been easier, perhaps, if he hadn't been such a 'dweeb' yelling KISS when he felt that the TA was a little lengthy with his didactic presentation. The author weaves humor into the story that is suble yet comical and lasso's the reader in tightly.
An idea presents to Leo that perhaps the TA Jamie, who is looking for a new apartment, could be their roomate, help with economics and, since the initial meeting with Jamie and the twins went so well, perhaps Jamie and Leone could be a couple and he could be her date to the upcoming wedding. As the reader you soon begin to wonder how Leo could possibly be so dense.
Leo, Jamie and Leone as roommates was a perfect blend with Jamie, in his own exasperating say, making sure that the twins ate properly, slept and studied. The dynamic between the three was interesting and quite funny.

An example of Leo's inability to see what was in front of his face was when they were going to the grocery store and Leo had no clean laundery.
excerpt ~ “You found a pair of underwear, then?” Jamie responded, remotely unlocking the car. Theo grinned as he made for the passenger side. “Nope.” Jamie stopped a few feet from the car and threw his head back, muttering to the sky. Theo opened his door. “You coming or what?” With a clouding expression that made Theo nervous, Jamie kicked his way to the driver’s side. “I’m gonna come all right.”"

This is one story, relationship that you do not want to miss. This leaves you feeling happy for all of the main characters and with a warm and fuzzy case of the 'feels'. I do strongly believe that the 'sequel' should be included in the original publication as an epilogue as this would make no sense as a stand alone story.

This was my first book by Anyta Sunday and I must say that I was very, very impressed.

I wouldn't change a single thing about the book. It was damn near flawless. The mixture of humour, snarky banter and the real, effortless and tangible progression of the relationship between the MCs from friends to lovers was very well written.I enjoyed it immensely.

I loved Theo and his arrogant, annoying and snarky personality. All throughout, I wanted to smack and hug him in equal portions while laughing at his antics. He was such a joy to read about. Jamie was more toned down and an almost perfect roommate/friend/eventual boyfriend. I believe everyone needs a Jamie in their lives. I KNOW I do. Lol...

I believe a re-read of this book is definitely in order later in the course of the year for me!

Great work Anyta Sunday . Great Work. :)

Absolutely loved this book.

A real slow burner, but a great read, and for once the ending that the characters deserve and you want.

The story of Theo and Jamie grabs you from the start, and the story narrative propels you along their up and up relationship, until both realise that they are meant for each other. Supporting characters such as Kyle, Sean and Leone add depth and interest to the story, without distracting from the main narrative.

I can't wait to read more about Theo and Jamie and how their relationship develops.

A great read.
