I have had PTSD for many years now and this book has been great in opening up new ways to meditate and get myself out of the mindset and focused on something new.

I am not a too experienced maditator. I attribute to my inexperience the difficulties in applying this book to my situation.

This was an interesting introduction to mindfulness, the in thing at the moment.
It approaches healing in five steps: the basics, value daily activities, nurture compassion, cultivate inner peace and find yourself again. In this manner treating you gently and with compassion, which seems to be one of the important ideas behind mindfulness.
I enjoyed the book and even if you only read the FAQs at the end this book has important messages for those who practice mindfulness.

I've struggled with PTSD most of my life. I do meditate when I get very stressed, but it's never seemed to help with my PTSD. This taught me new ways to use meditation, and I have to say it's helped me accept some of my past and reduce the issues my PTSD causes.
