The ideas and advice in the book are very informative and helpful. I don't have any kids but it was quite interesting as this can help with communication in general. Keeping a grip on the big picture with a bit of zen philosophy can't hurt either.

This book has many helpful hints and suggestions within it. They are worth a try before one says, "I give up."

This is definitely a put into practice book and be consistent. I have it three systems because I think different things will work for different families, but only time will tell for the application of it.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As a mom to a child that was adopted from a hard place, I found this book came to me at just the right time. Being connected can be a problem in adoption, and we have gone through therapy to help our teen feel connected. She would often lash out verbally in anger and try to control everything around her. The therapy has helped - and I think the tips in this book can help us further. The techniques in this books are clear and helpful. The fact that a little Zen philosophy is thrown in doesn't bother me. I look forward to using the tools Mitch Abblett has provided to better connect with my teen and to help reduce her anger and my responses to her anger. 4 1/2 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and New Harbinger Publications for allowing me an ARC

The cover caught my eye. The description kept me intrigued.
I have a teen that is angry, and I want it to end. I had to read this book for help, for change.
We were muddled by frustration and disconnection.

I started reading, found so many truths that I had to start taking notes.
Need to live this!!
I highly recommend this book to all parents, not just parents of angry teenagers! .
