When My Senses Don't Make Sense explores the five senses as well as sensory processing issues that can occur with certain conditions such as autism. It also discusses coping skills and ways children can get help when they are struggling with their sensory perception. I was not a fan of the art, and felt like the text was a bit difficult to read in some spots due to the size and color blending with the background. However, there are not many good sensory books out there and this would be a helpful explanation to children who are experiencing these challenges as well as neurotypical children to help them understand what is going on when a child is struggling with processing sensory information.
Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

This book is about a very important subject and it covers a lot of territory. Unfortunately, it comes off more as a textbook and I found it just a little dry. I don't think I could get too many kids interested in this book. I would buy it since it does have a lot of information, but only because I don't know of another book for kids with the same information.

I tried to load this but I could not read on my kindle. Efforts to contact for a different version or resending were not answered. Hence I could not review this book.
