Greer Wilde had to step up and raise his four brothers following the murder of his parents when he was 15-years old. He miraculously kept them together and started Wilde Security in an effort to continue providing a steady stream of income and maintain their connection. Now he's in trouble. Greer's been off the grid for over four months and he's in bad shape emotionally and physically but is determined to find and kill his parents' murderer. However, if his neighbor Natalie Taggart has anything to say about, that's not going to happen.

This is the final book in the series and Greer is the toughest and most secretive of all the brothers. Unraveling his story was heartbreaking and there was much to admire about this character. I liked Natalie, though she was often too good to be true. However, she was perfect for the extremely flawed and grumpy Greer, showing up as his angel of salvation and he deserved her. I was surprised at the resolution of the parents' murder, a nice little twist that satisfied my suspense itch.

Everything's answered in the lovely epilogue, a fitting end to a series I've enjoyed. While I'm sad to see it come to an end as I've liked the Wilde brothers and the women in their lives, it's good to know they'll continue to show up in the HORNET series.

3.5 stars.

Too Wilde to Tame sees the Wilde Brothers series come to an end and, after three years and much build up over the previous four books plus his links to the HORNET series, I was looking forward to seeing oldest brother, Greer centre stage as he has been a complete enigma.

"It’s time to tell them everything."

When a series continues over several books, I think you naturally have expectations particularly when there's an ongoing suspense element. So yes, I went into this with certain hopes: some of which were met, and some that weren't.

"For the first time in a very long time, he saw a future that was more than death and despair and soul-crushing secrets."

In terms of characters, Greer and Natalie were easy enough get along with, and although their chemistry was a little lacklustre with little intimacy between them, they were likeable and I particularly liked Natalie's fight. And, as has been the case throughout this series, the banter between the brothers and their love and support for one another was great, bringing humour and some emotion.

"We put the fun in dysfunctional."

The issue I had was the pacing: more needed to happen sooner and whilst it gathered some momentum along the way it wasn't until the last 30% when the story really kicked off. You can't deny that when Tonya Burrows inserts a twist or a red herring she's good and she did bring the unexpected, it just didn't have the impact of its predecessors for me because 60% was steadier.

"What was more frightening? Opening his heart to her or losing her?"

With a nice epilogue bringing closure to the Wilde boy's story, this was by no means a struggle for me to read, it simply wasn't my favourite of the series. And I do hope we get to catch up with them in the future in Tonya's HORNET series.

Bold, Vivid, Multi-layered design gives the eye plenty to look at. Fairly average font choices. This author is one of less than a handful of auto-buy names for me, so I'd not even bother to read the synopsis. But the blurb is intriguing and makes me want to read it even more.

POV ~> Third-Person
Greer - oldest of five boys. Takes on the weight of the world as a teen by emancipating then becoming the guardian to his younger brothers with the help of one of his dad's colleagues when his parents are murdered one night. Vowing to protect his siblings and bringing justice via revenge to his parents' killer, Greer becomes the darkest and solitary of the Wilde boys. Natalie - former ballet dancer due to injury. Now a night shift talk radio DJ with a psych background and teaches ballet during the day. She lives across the hall from Greer & has developed quite the crush on the reclusive grump. Already injured from a mission-gone-bad overseas and now getting jumped by a trio of teens, he somehow finds his way back to his apartment, but never makes it in. Natalie finds him in the hall after work, beaten and bleeding. And asking for help?!? He's hell-bent on destruction, she wants to save him. Chemistry is present, but there's a lot of push and pull. He has some a-hole moments, she's very smart, but too stubborn.
It's an all-star cast. The Wilde brothers and their respective women, a cameo from a HORNET, a phone call to another special guest, and some new faces with old ties. Dialogue had the smart snark, attitude, sense of humor and overall personality that I've come to expect from a BURROWS book and she did not disappoint. The cast interaction was believable. The plot was dynamic, it had depth and twists and kept you wondering and guessing about people until the end. The flow was amazingly smooth.
Most of the conflicts were internal, but those are usually the hardest. While most of the surface issues were addressed and resolved, Greer is still a work-in-progress in the end - but at least he fully acknowledges and accepts that.
The conclusion is solid and satisfying. It's bittersweet - to read the ending, knowing this is the last Wilde brother, the last book in the series - to know we may NOT get updates on the couples and their future lives. My only question mark left was Natalie's parents and their lack of responsibility toward the custody of a minor in their care.
Overall, I love and recommend this series and author to anyone that loves Romantic Suspense. Anyone who loves strong yet sensitive alpha man that are tamed by that one rare woman that completes him. Anyone who loves Smart, Sassy women that are not afraid to save them-darn-selves when they can. No damsel in distress just waiting for rescue here. A great blend of heat and heart. Adventure and Adoration.

This was a good read. The hero is suffering from PTSD and depression. They come together under bad circumstances, but working together they find answers and get their HEA. The sex scenes were hot in this book. They were drawn to one another and had a connection that worked for them, which also added to the story.
I voluntarily reviewed and ARC of this book

So, so good! Fast paced, high energy, and truly intriguing characters. This is Greer's story. He's the oldest of the Wilde Brothers and the one that carries the most emotional baggage when it comes to the death of their parents. Now he's looking for revenge and determined to find his parents killer. The twists and turns this story takes made the whole thing so exciting. I loved how Natalie handled Greer too. Never letting him get away with too much but being supportive and kind at the same time. Definitely a well done book and one you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it.

First I should start off by saying I haven't read any of the other books in the series. And although I wasn't lost I assume that more background about Greer and his parent's murders was probably included in the first four books of the series. Although I did fine reading this as a standalone, I would suggest starting with the first book to get the full background stories for all these brothers.

On to my review. I REALLY liked this one. It was fast-paced and well-written. The story starts off with a bang and the twists and turns just keep coming through the entirety of the book. It was also surprisingly emotional. I was in tears on more than a few occasions.

Greer was such a broken character. There were times I would go from wanting to strangle him to wanting to hug him to death in the span of a few pages. His relationship with his brothers made my heart burst. Especially that epilogue. I am sure if you've read every book in the series that final chapter will be like the cherry on top of the cupcake. Natalie was the type of heroine I adore. She was tough and strong when she needed to be and I liked that she didn't let Greer treat her like dirt just because he was suffering.

Of course, we have a great cast of secondary characters since the majority are the brothers (and their wives) from the previous books. As well as Natalie's nephew Andy. Not much left to say really. This was just a really great read and I look forward to going back and starting this series from the beginning.

Greer is the oldest of the Wilde brothers. Their parents were killed when Greer was 15. He became emancipated and raised them. He is fiercely proud of them and their achievements. He has sworn to find his parents’ murderer and kill him. He became Black Ops once his youngest brother graduated high school and has used this to gather info on his parents’ death. He’s dealing with some PTSD and severe depression. He is surrounded in darkness and can’t see his way out.

Natalie has lived in the apartment next to Greer for 3 years. Natalie is a former ballerina with a masters in psychology, teaching ballet to kids. She has spoken to him in passing and he has only grunted in response. Until the night she comes home to find Greer beaten half to death and heavily bleeding in front of her door.

These two were made for each other. Natalie was able to pull Greer out of his darkness and make him want more. Her simple touches soothe his soul and anchor him. Greer sparks her interest in a way she hasn’t felt in a long time.

This romantic suspense was well written, flowed well and I loved all the characters. It takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. The way that Greer and Natalie’s lives and families intersected each other was woven with lots of intrigue.

Even though this is the last book of the series, it is my first and my first by this author. I feel it can be read as a standalone. However, this book definitely makes me want to go back for the previous ones.

I voluntarily read an ARC provided by NetGalley.

WOW !!

Greer is in a very dark place after his last mission, and now he has just one goal, the avenge his parents death. While following a guy who he thinks is responsible for his parents deaths, he is ambushed and badly hurt.
Natalie has been crushing on her hot, sexy neighbor for the past 3 years, and when she finds him badly injured outside her door, she is left with no choice but to help him, especially when she learns that her nephew is somehow involved in Greer's beating.
Too Wilde to tame is a book that will keep you hooked. There are twists and turns that will keep you on tenterhooks. It's a suspense read with romance blended in very seamlessly. It's a book that made me laugh and cry and I hated to see it end.

Even though this is the last book of the Wilde security series it was my first one of this series and this particular author. I had no problems with missing information, so it can absolutely be read as a standalone. Even though I have to confess that I started to read the series from the beginning after finishing this book.
The characters are well developed and I really liked how they both fought and overcame the darkness that threatened to pull them under. You really experienced this darkness while reading and more than once I had to put the book down to just breathe and get out of the darkness myself. It was that intriguing and palpable.
The overall plot was great and I would have never expected the real reason behind the actions that came out in the end. It really surprised me which is really hard these days.
The end of the book came a bit sudden, but… It left me asking one question… What is going to happen with the girl? I don’t want to spoiler, so I don’t go in deeper, but I really would have loved an epilogue where her fate was at least mentioned to give me some closure. I worry about her!
As you see… The book makes you get really invested, even in the side characters ;)

I loved all previous books by Tonya Burrows but not so much this one. The writing was good but the main characters didn't do much for me.

This book is the icing on the Wilde cake!!! Greer Wilde, always the enigma. The oldest brother, the final word, the yin. I've always been intrigued by Greer, it's the mystery, the convoluted mystery that he is. He's Greer, total arse, grouchy and bossy, moody as hell and untouchable.

Greer is in one hell of a dark place, the last few missions have taken their toll. The loss of their parents when he was 15, leaving him to raise his brothers is the end of the road for him. Convinced they weren't killed in a robbery gone wrong, his last job is to find out who killed his parents. He's hot on a trail.

Greer has been missing, totally off radar; so long that his brothers are worried, no one seems to know where he is. He resurfaces back in the states sporting a gunshot wound, sitting in a dark bar watching someone from the past and that past is dark. Leaving the bar he has an encounter that leaves him clinging to consciousness, bloody and bruised in front of his neighbors door. Natalie (Tally) Taggart has lived across the hall from Greer for three years yet she knows little of him. She knows he's been gone, that she's been collecting the mail for his brother. Tally drags him inside her apartment not sure what to do, she wants to call 911 and his brothers at which point he's alert enough to say no. Against her better judgement she doesn't. Then there's her nephew who shows up and Tally is even more confused. Calling a friend who she knows his brother is an operative, she gets Greer the medical help he needs. And yes indeed is was nice to see that Texas cowboy once again! (You can leave your hat on) When Greer is back on his feet he goes to his apartment to find he's been erased. Greer doesn't ask, he demands. He wants Tally's car. Tally is stubborn among other things. He's got somewhere he needs to be and information he needs to get.

This is where the story starts to twist and turn, sifting through the players, his lack of trust, still avoiding his brothers and now thinking about Tally? Tally has her own story woven into this and she too is part of this twisted history, now present. The brothers catch on that Greer is back, Tally goes to them for help. Greer still sees himself as the parent, and it was nice to see him finally give in and let his brothers help and level the playing field. The plot has so many twists and just when you thought you knew... yeah well.. not. Tonya just yanks that rug right out from under your feet.

The last third of the book left me dangling by a thread and the epilogue left me speechless, I read it twice. Twice because it felt so real, so palpable, so infinite. I loved each and every book in this series, but this one is from the beyond. Tonya is such a gifted writer and wow does she hook you right into this one, just like every other book. Those Wilde brothers..... what I wouldn't give.

Yes, you should read this book. Read the series. I'd give it more than 5 stars. Hard to just slap a 5 on here when it deserves so much more. Beautiful story Tonya, all of it and all of them. Thank you.

This book had a little bit of everything. Greer was a government agent who did things in the name of his government that now he was starting to regret, he was a hired gun, but now he felt disgusted with himself, because someone had betrayed him, and he lost his friend, and others were hurt. He was on a suicide mission to finally kill the person who killed his parents and then he was planning on ending his life. Since he was still hurt, his plans did not go as he wanted, and ended up getting attacked, while unconscious he asks his neighbor who found him for help, this is our intro to Natalie. Natalie always had a crush on him, but while she wanted and did help him, she was afraid to let him go along with his plan of revenge, since her nephew was one of the attackers. Then the fun begins, we meet his family, we find out what really happened with his parents and who was responsible. And we have a love story. I want to get to know the stories behind his family, looking forward to reading them. Enjoy!

**I received a copy of Too Wilde to Tame from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

Too Wilde to Tame by Tonya Burrows is book 5 in her Wilde Security series and the final one. I have read two of the books plus a couple of her Hornet series as well. If you can read the previous four books but this can be read as a standalone with no problem. Even though I'm sad to see the Wilde brothers end the author does hint at the end of a possible new series.

Natalie Taggert has lived next door to Greer Wilde for three years. They have had a head nod and grunt (his) greeting but when she arrives home one night and finds Greer passed out on her doorstep beaten and bruised. Her nephew, Andy, is there as well looking to hide when he sees Greer he bolts after uttering "He's supposed to be dead". She does the only thing she can and drags him into her apartment giving him first aid while trying to get Andy to pick up his phone. When he comes too, he asks her to not let his brothers know where he is. Natalie had big dream once of being a ballerina but a knee injury has her teaching at a dance school and working as a radio talk show host but she has always had an admiration for Greer even if all he did is greet her with a grunt (I loved this description!). But when things start to go sideways, can she protect her family and Greer's from the persons who took the Wilde brothers parents away?

David Greer Wilde Jr. had to grow up fast when his parents were killed but he's also had to sell his soul to keep them away from the man that they thought of as an uncle. He's don Black Ops so many times that the demons don't stay away from his dreams and now he has a lead on the man who killed his parents in cold blood but can he kill him? Will it bring him closure that he's wanted so much? But he's been shot and now beaten, he somehow makes it back home where he has to ask for Natalie's help can they keep their feelings separate from his need to end the pain that has been haunting him for years? There is a plot twist that will have you saying, I didn't see that coming but in the end it will take all of the Wilde brothers to take down the murderer who took their parents from them.

You'll laugh and cry but mostly you'll wish that it didn't have to come to an end but know that perhaps there will be another Hornet book or maybe a new series in the future?

(Goodreads and Amazon)
I think I keep returning to Tonya Burrow’s books in part because of the very strong liaisons between siblings, friends and lovers that are characteristic of her characters. I liked that in the Hornet series and in this series about the Wilde brothers. I usually like her books and her characters and enjoy meeting them again in other stories (if I remember well, I even liked Gabe (“Seal of Honor”) better in a book where he wasn’t the main character).
Tonya Burrows does another tortured hero in this story, after having created the fabulous Seth Harlan of “Honor Reclaimed” (my favorite story so far by this author). Greer Wilde mixes the protective alpha maleness with broken and suicidal tendencies but the result is not so effective as with Seth Harlan’s persona, even if he is a likeable character. Greer lacks some intensity and there was so much going on his head that in the end I was asking myself how could such a troubled man work as special ops. But as I liked him as a character I think I’m going to reread how he was presented in the previous Wilde Security stories.
So, an enjoyable light romantic suspense read and now I’m waiting for Zak Hendricks’ story, another tortured hero, I guess…

This was a lovely conclusion to the Wilde series by Tonya Burrows. As always, well written, fast paced romantic suspense that kept me turning the page. Great to see the brothers coming together and the dynamic that we have grown to love

I'm sorry to say that this is my first book I've read in the Wilde Security series. Sorry because I can't believe that I missed them this whole time. It was wonderful, and I will be going back and reading the others right away.
In the beginning, Greer thinks that Natalie is an angel that his mom has sent from heaven for him. Well he was close, because it sure seems that they are a match made in heaven. Sorry the pun there. The way that their families seem to be mixed together from beginning to end does nothing to detour either of them. If anything it seems to bring them closer.

I was really excited for this book because I'd read the previous ones and just couldn't wait for Greer's story. He was such a mystery--disappearing all the time, showing up injured, and never ever saying what he was doing. You never knew where he was, and his very infrequent phone calls to his brothers never gave away his location. With all the crazy things happening to the other brothers, a disturbing trend was starting to appear, and when Greer showed up, beaten and shot...

Natalie had noticed her neighbor always coming and going, and even though he was really hot, he was trouble with a capital T. When his brother Reece showed up looking for him, though, it was easy to get pulled into his story and offer to help watch for him.

Greer was injured from the operation in Syria and he'd lost his friend Dustin Williamson in the explosion that should have killed them both. Just being alive was a miracle, but Greer took it as a sign that life was short. If he was really going to get revenge on the man who'd killed his parents, now was the time.

The suspense was blended with personal details and interaction between the five brothers in this series, and with Greer's love interest Natalie. It was a pivotal novel for the main character as he came to terms with not only the past but whether or not he felt like he deserved a happily ever after of his own. Great book, I recommend it and the whole series as well. Thanks!
