Hayden McCarthy, a young attorney trying to make partner, gets sucked into a case that's driving her crazy. Her boss wants action NOW, but the partners won't approve the money for Hayden to pursue the threads to bring a wrongful death case against the federal government.

The suspense and intrigue increase when Hayden's client is brutally attacked and her client's son ends up staying with Andrew Wesley--one of DC's most eligible bachelors--and Hayden's roommate's cousin. Hayden and Andrew struggle to deal with their feelings for each other and the danger that seems to stalk them. You won't be able to put this one down!

This book is a fairly good read but you have to stick with it. The beginning is very slow and laden with legal terms. The story is good but has a lot of moving pieces. I think Hayden, the main character, should be a little faster to put things together than she is and it makes the pace of the plot frustratingly slow at times. The relationship between Andrew and Hayden progresses very quickly but it seems almost unrealistic that the feelings they have would develop so fast. It's a good story but in my opinion the characters need more personality.
