You'll Think of Me, by Robin Lee Hatcher is a very good read and a story of hope, forgiveness and starting over.
Single mom, Brooklyn Myers, receives a letter stating that Chad, her husband that abandoned her, has passed away and left her and their daughter, Alycia, his family home in Thunder Creek.
Brooklyn was not excited to return to the town where she had so many bad memories. Brooklyn was raised by an abusive father after being abandoned by her mother. She made the move to provide a good home for her daughter and a place they could call their own.
Derek Johnson has planned and saved for years to buy the house and property next to his home, owned by Chad, his best friend. All things changed when Derek receives a letter from Chad after his death, explaining that he had left the home to Brooklyn and Alycia and ask Derek to be a father figure to his daughter.
Sparks fly when Brooklyn and Derek come together, and Alycia brings fun into the story.

You'll Think of Me is such a tender story! This story tells the importance fathers play in their daughter's lives and the hole that is left without a father's love. I have enjoyed all of Robin Hatcher's books but this may be my favorite!

I loved this story. Such a difficult circumstance for everyone involved yet each page is hope, second chances and growing faith. A town coming together, a family renewed and friendships regained, the themes of love and trust blossom through the whole story. I can't wait for friends to read this book!

You'll Think of Me is a pretty good read. Brooklyn is a type of character that I can relate to, which made me want to keep reading. At times, the story had some emotional moments that I, again, related to. Great book.
Highly recommended.

One of the best romantic books I have read in a long time. Loved the storyline. It didn't follow the norm where there is a secret like Derek was asked by the the child's father in a letter to take care of them. You think here goes the long section of betrayal. But it was handled different. You stayed in the story all the way through. So many times in other books there are sections that are just read like "filler" for lack of a better word. This story was not. You read a storyline of a woman trusting her God and trying her best. I loved it all the way through and am sorry I am finished.

Robin Lee Hatcher has been a "go-to" author for me for a LOT of years. (We won't mention how many...) She never, ever disappoints. You'll Think of Me is the latest example of this. Anytime a book sucks me in and keeps me reading - barely stopping for sleep - it has to be pretty exceptional. I started this book yesterday afternoon, snatched 5 hours of sleep, and finished it this morning.

Brooklyn Myers has spent her life feeling abandoned and unloved. Her mom walked out and left her with an abusive father, the husband she chose abandoned her as soon as he learned he was going to be a father, and even the friend she made who led her to the Lord is being taken from her by cancer. She is stunned to receive the news that her husband has died. In his death he has finally stepped up, acknowledged his fatherhood and left 10 acres plus a house in Thunder Creek, Idaho to his wife.

Derek Johnson has a dream to expand his three acre organic to a self-sustaining organic farm. To do that he needs his friend Chad Hallston to make good on his promise to sell his family's 10 acres to him. When Chad dies instead and leaves the land to his "wife", Derek's disappointment knows no bounds. Chad's final letter to Derek explains some of his reasoning and asks his best friend for one last favor: be the father figure to my daughter that I never was. Can Derek put aside his dislike for Brooklyn and focus on her daughter?

The more Brooklyn compares Derek to Chad, the more she sees Derek's honor. As the two spend time working on her house, they both start to see that their past may not have been exactly like they remember it. Can she really make a home for her daughter in a place where she always felt like an unloved outsider? Can he see that the woman he thought he knew is NOT the same Brooklyn who left Thunder Creek all those years ago?

I loved that Brooklyn was willing to do anything she could to give her daughter a better life than she'd had. Her confrontations with her father were gut-wrenching but necessary to her heart's healing. I also loved how obvious it was from the beginning of the book that God had stepped into her life and called her His own. Her faith wavers periodically. Whose wouldn't faced with her trials? I also loved how strong and secure Alycia is. She has no fear, a trait her mother could have easily passed on. Pick this one up if you love Christian romance.

A charming and relaxing romance, You'll Think Of Me is a story of starting over and creating family.

Brooklyn knows what it takes to stand alone. So when she receives a letter from her estranged husband's lawyer stating that she and her ten-year-old daughter have been left his family home, Brooklyn is wary of returning to her hometown. But returning to Thunder Creek isn't the hardship she imagines. She is soon surrounded by caring townspeople including her neighbour Derek, who has his own reasons for getting close to Brooklyn and her daughter Alycia.

Absolutely every time I think about this book's title I start humming the song by Keith Urban of the same name. I just can't help it. Not a bad thing, I like that song, but its message is very different from that of this book. This book is all about coming together, community joining to offer support, and a young family healing and finding love.

While the characters, particularly Brooklyn, have faced difficulty in their pasts, these issues are only briefly touched upon in the story. The story remains a light tale of romance, family, and community. As a result this is a very peaceful book to read, but I really would have liked to delve a little deeper on some of the big issues that were present. I also expected more conflict between Brooklyn and Derek, but aside from a few calm disagreements, they get along well. They are a well-matched pair and I liked their open communication and peaceful relationship, despite the conflict they might have had in the past. There is also no discussion between Brooklyn and Derek about her family life or her history with her first husband. Once Brooklyn and Alycia move to Thunder Creek, everything falls into place for them. There is a bit of suspense towards the end of the book as characters face dangerous situations, bringing a bit of action to this story of romance and family.

Written in third person, the chapters alternate perspective between Brooklyn, Derek, and Derek's grandmother Ruth. I enjoyed the small, country-town setting and the collection of supportive and caring characters. Hopefully, Thunder Creek will be a setting we readers can return to in future books by Robin Lee Hatcher.

The publishers provided an advanced readers copy of this book for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Robin Lee Hatcher is one of my favorite authors. I love her storylines and her characters all seem like people I could meet on the street or anywhere. You'll Think of Me is one of these types of stories. I loved Brooklyn and Derek and was rooting for their relationship to work from the beginning. I loved little Alycia, she was hilarious and so precocious. I love Hatcher's books because they are clean (no sex) yet the passion and loves shines through. This is going to be another favorite for me.

This was a sweet romance. It was very well written. I enjoyed it but it held no real surprises, nothing unexpected. I liked the spiritual aspect in the lives of the characters - that always gets a higher rating, even if I didn't love the story line.
